Nevada casinos once again took in over $1 billion in the month of January, marking the 11th consecutive month they’ve done so. Online betting and gaming company 888 has been fined £9.4m by the UK Gambling Commission for social responsibility and money laundering failures. 888 UK Limited, which operates 78 websites including 888.com, has also received an official warning and will undergo extensive independent auditing. International Game Technology (IGT) announced Friday that it has signed a comprehensive 20-year contract extension with the Rhode Island Lottery to remain the exclusive supplier of the lottery, iLottery, instant ticket and video lottery solutions and services through June 30, 2043. In addition to providing solutions and services, IGT has committed to maintaining 1,100 lucrative jobs in Rhode Island. Missouri’s 13 casinos posted $145.4 million in revenue for the month of January, according to the Missouri Gaming Commission. The figure implies a 1.2% drop from a total of $147.3 million reported in January 2021 and is also down from $163.3 million posted in December. The St. Louis market reported $72.7 million in total adjusted gaming revenue for the month, while the Kansas City market posted $50.7 million.
