Pennsylvania has posted a new record in overall gaming revenue in November, the PA Gaming Control Board reported. The record month was highlighted by sports wagering revenue 70% above the previous monthly high. The figures show total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the state during the month was a record $432 million, which represents an increase of 52% compared to the revenue generated in the same month last year. The New Jersey Legislature passed on Monday the new casino PILOT bill, which seeks to give tax relief to Atlantic City’s casinos. The legislation is intended to help venues recover from the pandemic by reducing increases in payments to state that would take effect if the bill is not passed, as it excludes both iGaming and sports wagering from calculations on how much casinos must pay in lieu of taxes. Emerald Queen Casino (EQC) in Tacoma, Washington, on Monday officially opened BetMGM Sportsbook @ EQC. The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin and Gov. Tony Evers on Monday signed a new compact amendment, which will permit event wagering at St. Croix casinos in the state.  The gambling expansion allows casinos and affiliate locations in Wisconsin to offer event wagering on sports and non-sports. The amendment has now been sent to the U.S. Department of Interior for a 45-day review, reports CBS Minnesota. The eight Louisiana casinos that launched sports betting operations in November raked in more than $5.6 million in revenue on more than $27 million in wagers, according to the latest revenue data from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. About $570,000 in taxes were paid on those profits. Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel & Casino, Margaritaville Resort Casino, and Boomtown Bossier City Casino are among the eight Louisiana riverboats that started taking sports wagers in November. Sports betting and gaming entertainment giant BetMGM has now launched its horse racing mobile app in Florida and Louisiana, the company announced on Monday. The BetMGM Horse Racing app is now available for download on both iOS and Android devices. The British online gaming operator received the permit at a Thursday meeting of the state’s Limited Gaming Control Commission. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Friday signed a bill that lifts the ban on in-state collegiate sports. The legislation package also allows for a sportsbook at Wintrust Arena, lets new sports bettors sign up for accounts online instead of in-person as of March 5, and prohibits towns from imposing additional per-push taxes on video slot machines.
