Tunica County, Mississippi, will be issuing bonds this week in an effort to diminish its reliance on casinos. After five months since its opening in Resorts World Las Vegas, Restaurant Marigold announced Wednesday it has ceased operations. It was confirmed by Resorts World spokeswoman Dana Rutkin that the restaurant closed its doors on December 2 as reported by Review Journal. Ohio’s casinos and racinos have already broken the revenue record for an entire year in 2021, with still one month to go. Venues in the state have accumulated $2.11 billion in gambling revenue through November, heading into December with confidence. The new Walker’s Bluff Casino and Resort in southern Illinois broke ground last Wednesday. Casino officials were joined for the ceremony by Gov. J.B. Pritzker and state leaders.
