Bally’s Corp. announced Monday morning the change of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino’s name into Bally’s Dover Casino Resort, in Delaware, in order to align Dover Downs with Bally’s growing brand.  In December, Dover Downs will be updated with new signage, dice, cards, gaming chips and table game layouts. The property is currently using Bally Rewards. The Oneida Nation will begin to take sports bets this week, as its new gaming compact amendment with the state takes effect. Sports betting will be available at Oneida’s main casino in Green Bay at first, and not at the other two gaming facilities on the reservation, as the compact with the state regulates that wagers be taken only on the reservation. Online gambling company 888 Holdings announced before its shareholders that it has received all the necessary gaming regulatory and antitrust approvals for the $2.9 billion acquisition of the non-US business of William Hill, to take place in the first quarter of 2022.  There are some remaining closing conditions that 888 must meet before the deal can go ahead. Connecticut-based Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment announced Monday the successful closing of financing to develop the INSPIRE Entertainment Resort on Yeongjong Island in Incheon, South Korea, which is expected to open in 2023.
