T he New York Gaming Commission confirmed Tuesday that state employees who are assigned to Native American-run casinos as gaming inspectors are back on the job, despite Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s decision last week to keep New York’s four commercial casinos closed for more than four months. The small group of workers returned when the Oneida and Seneca nations began reopening their casinos in June, according to The Auburn Citizen.
