BetMGM and NASCAR Take Checkered Flag With Sports Betting Deal


The sports betting world just got a whole lot more exciting thanks to a brand new deal between BetMGM and NASCAR.

The two giants will be joining forces in a multi-year partnership that will offer sports betting with enhanced and engaging features to NASCAR fans and bettors. The goal isn’t just to increase the handle but to also create excitement and buzz around sports betting in relation to NASCAR’s events.

A New Take on NASCAR Sports Betting

While there have been plenty of these partnership deals announced with various sportsbooks and sports leagues around the country, what NASCAR and BetMGM are trying to do is to stand out from the pack and create buzz.

Interested parties will be able to go ahead and place wagers on races, but there will also be other “engaging sports betting experiences” that will be offered. This includes in-race betting options that are sure to get die-hard fans extremely excited.

Scott Warfield, NASCAR managing director of gaming, commented on this partnership:

“We’re excited to have such an iconic brand on board to expand our offerings and deepen our engagement with the most passionate fans in sports.”

Warfield went on to refer to BetMGM as the “best-in-class operator” who is ready to jump on the positive energy that surrounds the sport of NASCAR and also build on it. This partnership will give BetMGM the rights to go ahead and promote the sport on its mobile app and receive full access to NASCAR marks.

Fans can also expect to see ads and promotional campaigns on BetMGM’s social media channels as well as in its various retail sportsbooks. There is even talk of cross-promotion wherein NASCAR will advertise BetMGM on its various sites and channels.

NASCAR will be able to take advantage of the sportsbook’s impressive reach as it is licensed to operate in seven different states at the moment. The plan is that it will be licensed in 11 states by the end of this year.

BetMGM Touts Its “Unparalleled Betting Technology”

BetMGM is also going out of its way to tout its own “unparalleled betting technology, as its chief marketing officer, Matt Prevost refers to it. The plan is to leverage the technology of BetMGM and really grow the fan and sports betting base even further.

Some of the features that fans can look forward to includes: parlays, exciting racing props, pre-race wagers, and live in-play betting starting in 2021. The two entities are even joining up to create a free NASCAR game that fans can play themselves and feel like they are truly part of the action.

In terms of the available types of standard wagers, there are plenty of discussions happening right now and some of the options being considered include driver matchups, top-finishing drivers, bets tied to the number of the winning car and stage winners.

To help mark the excitement of the partnership, there will be a special promotion for NASCAR bets that are wagered using the BetMGM app as the NASCAR Cup Series weekend event approaches. This race will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET at the Daytona International Speedway.
