Week 7 of the NFL season is officially in the books, which means we are almost to the halfway point already. The World Series will have to tide us over until Week 8 gets underway on Thursday night. The Dodgers will look to close things out and clinch their first championship in over three decades on Tuesday night, while the Rays will look to extend the series to a winner-take-all Game 7.

Champions League: Bayern Munich, Liverpool, & Inter Milan To Win (+150)
Reigning European champions Bayern Munich got off to a solid start at the expense of Atletico Madrid in Champions play last week. Bayern had no trouble with the Spaniards, winning 4-0 at the Allianz Arena in the most highly-anticipated matchup of Group A.
Today, Bayern will look to make it two wins in two against Lokomotiv Moscow. A trip all the way to Russia isn’t the easiest travel schedule for the German giants, but Bayern are still massive -865 moneyline favorites to win this game. Lokomotiv are fourth in the Russian Premier League with 21 points through 12 matches.
Liverpool picked up a solid 1-0 win over Ajax in Amsterdam, which is extra impressive when you see that Ajax wound up winning their next game over the weekend by a final scoreline of 13-0. The Reds are back at Anfield today to face Midtjylland, a Danish side currently ranked third in their domestic table.
We’ll see if Jurgen Klopp rolls out a top-tier side for this game, but the English champions are still heavily favored regardless. Liverpool are two-goal favorites on the spread with -453 moneyline odds to win outright. Midtjylland were trounced 4-0 in their first game of Champions League play last week against Atalanta.
Inter Milan played to 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in Group B play last week. Today, the Italian side will face another tough draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. The Russian side beat Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu last week, which was the most shocking result of the first round of games. Inter are still -210 favorites to win, but Shakhtar are obviously a side to be taken seriously here.
MLB: Rays To Win Series 4-3 (+500)
Tampa Bay is up against it. The Rays dropped Sunday’s Game 5 of the World Series to fall into 3-2 series hole. This team has been resilient all year long, and they have scratched their way to even get this far. It took a miraculous ninth-inning rally to win Game 4, and the Rays will need more magic tonight if they hope to extend the series.

The Rays are in a fine spot tonight with Blake Snell on the mound. Snell dominated the Dodgers with nine strikeouts in 4.2 innings in Game 2, but he’ll surely have a short leash with Tampa Bay facing elimination. I would also expect the Dodger hitters to be better prepared after seeing Snell just a few days ago.
The Dodgers will have Tony Gonsolin on the mound tonight, with Walker Buehler waiting in the wings should the series go to a decisive seventh game on Wednesday. The Dodgers are still -127 moneyline favorites in Game 6 even with the pitching matchup clearly favoring the Rays, while LA is now at -525 to win the series. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, is at +420 to win the World Series.
What’s The Best Bet?
I don’t think the Rays are capable of winning this series, so I can’t pull the trigger on a Tampa Bay comeback at +500. All signs point to the Dodgers closing this series out either tonight or tomorrow.
If you want a bit more upside, bet on Champions League. Liverpool and Bayern are essentially locks to win today. Inter are facing the most difficult matchup of the three, but they won’t take Shakhtar lightly after they saw what the Russian side accomplished last week in Spain.
Inter haven’t been in great form in Serie A, but this is still a talented side that should be able to make a push to escape Group B. At +150, the value is passable with the three-way Champions League result.
