There are plenty of exciting underdogs competing this weekend. Many are beginning to realize how competitive some of these matchups will be. Before getting into these fights, however, we’ll take a quick look at the best site available to bet on this card.

Let’s check it out!

Here’s How to Bet on UFC: Adesanya vs. Blachowicz Online

The UFC is working hard to hold massive events on a weekly basis. As a result of this busy schedule, more fans around the world are betting on these events. There are now a huge number of world-class online sportsbooks offering odds on UFC events.

I believe Bovada is one of the best online UFC betting sites available right now. Most gamblers in the US have heard of this one before. It has grown tremendously over the past few years and now has millions of users around the world.

Bovada is well-known for its safety. This website takes intense measures to ensure its players are always safe. You will never have to worry about your money being secure. There are plenty of great options to deposit and withdraw your funds.

The odds here are extremely competitive with all other online sportsbooks. In some cases, Bovada’s UFC odds are better than what you can find inside a Las Vegas sportsbook. A wide range of wagering options are available for UFC events taking place every week.

Traditional moneyline bets are the most popular here. Some fans are also beginning to take part in the MMA prop betting options at Bovada. It’s here that you can bet on things like how a fighter will win and what round a fight will end.

Those looking to bet on UFC 259 online will love this site. It’s safe and extremely easy to use. Now, let’s take a look at some of the most lucrative odds being offered through this website.

Expert Tips on the Best Underdog Bets for UFC 259

MMA is a notoriously tough sport to predict. Fighters are able to punch, kick, elbow, and grapple during a bout. There are a million ways that every fight can play out. With so many ways to win, massive upsets are fairly common.

I believe there will be some incredible upset victories taking place this weekend. Below are five of the best underdog bets for UFC 259 available online right now. Let’s check them out.

Bet on Kyler Philipps vs. Song Yadong

One of the final preliminary bouts of UFC 259 takes place between Kyler Philipps and Song Yadong. These two bantamweights are both closing in on the top-15 of the division. Many fans believe both have the potential to be future champions at 135 pounds.

Kyler Philipps carried a tremendous amount of hype into his UFC debut back in February of 2020. He’s now gone 2-0 in the promotion and trains at one of the best MMA gyms in the country. Kyler is dangerous everywhere, yet it’s his grappling that earns him the most success.

Song Yadong had a rough start to his MMA career. He began turning things around in 2016 and has since gone 8-0-1. Yadong has tremendous striking and will probably look to keep this fight on the feet.

Philipps vs. Yadong –Philipps via submission Round 2

I was surprised to see Kyler Philipps come into this fight as an underdog. He is a legitimate prospect and has the skills needed to crack into the top-10 of the bantamweight division. Yadong is coming off a controversial win over Marlon Vera in his last fight. I expect Kyler to get Song down in the second and secure a submission win before the bell sounds. Philipps’ unusual odds to win makes this one of the best underdog bets for UFC 259.

Bet on Jake Matthews vs. Sean Brady

It’s a little interesting to see this bout on the early prelims of UFC 259. Jake Matthews and Sean Brady are two extremely talented welterweight fighters. Like the previous fight I listed, the winner here may find themselves closing in on their division’s top-15 rankings.

Jake Matthews has been fighting in the UFC since 2014. He seems to have finally reached his full potential and is still just 26 years old. “The Celtic Kid” is riding a three-fight win streak here and is dangerous both on the feet and on the ground.

Many fighters are claiming that Sean Brady is a future champion at welterweight. He is 13-0 in his MMA career with six of those wins coming via stoppage. His best chance of winning is likely to drag Matthews to the mat and look for submissions.

Matthews vs. Brady –Matthews via Unanimous Decision

Experience is one of the best advantages to possess in mixed martial arts. There’s no doubt that Jake Matthews has the edge in this department. He’s been in the UFC for years and has found a groove lately with three-straight wins. I think he avoids the ground game of Brady and out-strikes him on the feet en route to a decision victory.

Bet on Drew Dober vs. Islam Makhachev

Islam Makhachev comes into this fight against Drew Dober as one of the biggest favorites of the night. Drew Dober is a dangerous striker and many feel he has the perfect skill set to defeat Makhachev. That is precisely what makes this one of the best underdog bets for UFC 259.

Drew Dober has been through it all during his UFC career. There was a time when it appeared he was close to being cut from the promotion. He is now 6-1 in his past seven fights and will likely earn a spot in the top-10 with a victory on Saturday.

It’s not a huge surprise to see Islam Makhachev listed as the favorite here. He’s a long-time training partner of Khabib Nurmagomedov and hasn’t lost a fight since 2015. Even former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier seems to feel Makhachev will become a former UFC title challenger.

Dober vs. Makhachev –Dober via Knockout in Round 1

The longer this fight goes, the more difficult it will be for Drew Dober. I just don’t think it will end up lasting very long at all. Every fight starts on the feet and I believe Dober will land a massive knockout punch in the first round. That will extend his three-fight knockout streak and establish himself as a contender for the world title.

Bet on Joseph Benavidez vs. Askar Askarov

The smaller weight classes will be highlighted throughout the prelims of UFC 259. One of the most-anticipated bouts is the flyweight matchup between Joseph Benavidez and Askar Askarov. It’s a battle between a true veteran of the game and a talented young up-and-comer.

Joseph Benavidez has done almost everything a fighter can in the UFC besides winning a world championship. He admits to being near the end of his career after two devastating losses to Deiveson Figueiredo, though. These stoppage defeats likely made him the underdog in this matchup against Askarov.

Dagestan’s showcase in the UFC continues with Askar Askarov. He has gone 2-0-1 in the promotion so far and has a level of grappling not seen at flyweight in years. Most analysts agree this bout will end up being contested mostly on the mat.

Benavidez vs. Askarov –Benavidez via Split Decision

Joe Benavidez may never win a UFC title, but he remains one of the scrappiest fighters in the division. I think this matchup fits his style perfectly and makes him one of the best underdog bets for UFC 259. Against wrestlers, Benavidez tends to find success. Expect a back-and-forth grappling battle with Joseph getting his hand raised in the end.

Bet on Jan Blachowicz vs. Israel Adesanya

Last, but certainly not least on this list of the best underdog bets for UFC 259 is the main event between Jan Blachowicz and Israel Adesanya. There has been an enormous amount of hype placed on this bout over the past few months. Many are curious to see how the battle of strikers plays out.

It seems that many are overlooking Blachowicz in this bout. That is astounding when considering he is 8-1 in his past nine bouts with five of those wins coming via stoppage. His most recent victory over Dominick Reyes proved that he is the best light-heavyweight in the UFC right now.

Israel Adesanya is entering as the favorite here due to his incredible run at middleweight. He’s now 20-0 in the UFC and has arguably the best striking in MMA history. There are still questions as to how he will fare against the bigger men at 205 pounds.

This is an extremely difficult fight to predict. Safe money may be on Israel winning by decision. I believe Jan has studied Adesanya’s game, however, and will be looking for a knockout shot. In the end, I believe he’ll land that shot in the third round.

Blachowicz vs. Adesanya –Blachowicz via TKO in Round 3

Conclusion

UFC 259 is set to be one of the best cards in years. It’s always fun when the UFC books an event featuring three different title fights. As you can see, there are some incredible underdogs scheduled to fight this Saturday.

Make sure to head over to Bovada today to see a full list of odds for this bout. Each fight is offering something special. The main event super-fight, in particular, is one that will have a lasting impact on the UFC.
