aesars Entertainment announced that Circus Circus Reno in Nevada will restart hotel operations at noon on April 8, for the first time since the pandemic.

The return of hotel accommodations will be accompanied by the reopening of several other amenities, including restaurants and retail.

The reopenings come just before the summer break, which has been especially important for Circus Circus, which focuses on family-friendly activities such as its Carnival Midway. “We look forward to welcoming guests of all ages back to our hotel, restaurants, attractions and other amenities, especially for summer travel,” Glenn Carano, Regional President and General Manager, said in a statement, as reported by Reno Gazette-Journal

The move arrives amid improving numbers for COVID-19, and as the Washoe County Health District continues to urge people to observe safety precautions such as mask-wearing, handwashing and social distancing to prevent a new surge in cases, especially as COVID variants have been detected in the Reno-Sparks community.

Part of Caesars’ downtown Reno properties that have been branded as “The Row,” Circus Circus has been undergoing a phased reopening since last year. Its gaming floor and Midway carnival, for example, have been open daily since June 4.

Other amenities that are scheduled to reopen in April include El Jefe’s Cantina and Bar; Sips Coffee and Tea; Panda Express; The Habit Burger Grill; The Veranda Store; William Hill Race & Sports Book and The Fitness Center.
