ection 1.3.11 of the regulation defines ‘co-organized operation’ as the “operation in which several authorized operators join any platform or software where they allow their players to participate in a single game.”

“Those players, the text reads, make use of their credits to participate in a shared gaming session. These participation credits that emerge as a result of the bets become a ‘common fund’ by which winners are awarded prizes once the operator’s fee is subtracted.”

In this line, representatives of the Colombian regulator said the co-organized operation can only be achieved among companies authorized to offer online games in Colombia and, therefore operators from other jurisdictions will not be allowed to participate.

Coljuegos officials also said that the draft resolution, which was submitted for public comment in July does not outline that the regulator will develop a platform to which players could be adhered to participate in a single game.
