The blockbuster rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier has been officially confirmed! This fight will be taking place on January 23rd on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. This week, Dana White offered fans an extremely exciting update on UFC 257.

This is one of the biggest fights in recent memory. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see Conor McGregor back in the cage. Today, we’ll talk about some of the plans the UFC has around this bout.

Let’s get into it!

Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 2 is Confirmed for UFC 257

Conor McGregor has been the biggest star in combat sports since 2014. Despite his limited time in the cage recently, Conor is a massive draw around the world. Not long ago, reports began to surface that Conor McGregor was interested in a fight against Dustin Poirier.

These two men first competed back in September of 2014. At that time, both were exciting up and comers in the featherweight division. Conor McGregor proved better at that time and knocked Poirier out in the first round.

After weeks of negotiations, the UFC has finally confirmed that Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 2 will be taking place on January 23rd at UFC 257. This is the fight that everyone wants to see. It’s been confirmed that this fight will be taking place on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

BetOnline, one of the best online sportsbooks in the US, is offering odds on both of these events. Some are surprised to see that Conor McGregor is listed as the -235 favorite. He holds a win over Poirier in the past, but he hasn’t competed in nearly a year.

Dustin Poirier is one of the most consistent fighters in MMA. He only loses to the very best fighters in the world and holds victories over several former champions. At the moment, Poirier is listed as the +200 underdog. Make sure to check out our full betting guide for this event here!

According to UFC President Dana White, this event will be a truly special one.

Here’s Another Interesting Update on UFC 257

The UFC has found a great way to hold events this year. The world’s biggest promotion has been splitting its event schedule between Las Vegas and Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. Of course, no fans have been allowed to attend the events in either location.

Dana White is now hinting this could change for the event featuring Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. The UFC President spoke to the media about this situation this week. He claims that he’s working to surround the famous “International Fight Week” around this event.

“I’m looking to make it International Fight Week,” White said. “The new Etihad Arena will be open, and that thing was designed with us in mind. Concerts, pool parties, all kinds of cool stuff. And, yes, I hope to bring fans back. … That’s what I’m shooting for… “It would be good to have fans. And the thing is, from ‘Fight Island’ we can get fans all over the world there. It’s an easy destination to get to, a fun destination to go to, and we can just (expletive) blow the doors off this thing.”

This is a surprising thing to hear. Most areas of the world are shutting down due to health concerns. There are intense travel restrictions set in place between countries. Many feel it will be many months before things begin to improve again.

Dana White doesn’t let anyone else’s opinion affect his goals, though. He seems focused on getting fans back to events. It’s also incredible to hear that the promotion plans to hold several events throughout the week.

MMA fans have a lot to be excited about. If all goes according to plan, the next few months will be special for MMA fans.

There’s Still Time to Bet On UFC 255 Online!

UFC 257 will be a massive Pay-Per-View event. Anytime Conor McGregor competes, it brings in eyeballs to the sport. Many hardcore fans are looking forward to UFC 255, which takes place tomorrow evening!

This is a fantastic event from top to bottom. Deiveson Figueiredo and Alex Perez are scheduled to headline this event. Figueiredo is the flyweight champion and looked incredible with two recent wins over Joseph Benavidez. BetOnline currently lists him as the -268 favorite.

Alex Perez is the first fighter from Dana White’s Contender Series to earn a title shot. It’s easy to see why. He’s recorded six wins in seven fights and is still just 28 years old. At the moment, he is the +228 underdog.

The co-main event is also drawing major fan interest. This will feature Valentina Shevchenko and Jennifer Maia. It should be an incredibly entertaining bout when looking at both of these fighter’s styles.

It’s no surprise to see Valentina listed as the massive -1700 favorite. She has looked almost unstoppable since moving to the flyweight division. Jennifer Maia will need to have an incredible performance in order to get the win here. The oddsmakers list here as just the +1000 underdog.
