DP World Tour Championship Betting Predictions

This week’s top golf action takes place at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates, with a hefty prize on offer to the winner of the 2020 DP World Tour Championship.

Given the current climate, some ‘star attractions’ have decided not to partake, but the field still has plenty of quality to try and take a share of the €7m in prize money on offer.

Patrick Reed heads the DB World Tour betting at 77/10. While he has the undoubted quality to land this when at the top of his game (as a Masters winner), his last win was in February 2020 and he’s not registered a top-5 finish since then.

The English contingent has shown occasional sparks of form throughout the year, with Tyrrell Hatton winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Lee Westwood briefly leading the re-arranged Masters back in November.

However, our first selection is Tommy Fleetwood (39/4) who finished 2nd here last year, one shot behind Jon Rahm.

A round of 70 in R3 proved to be his downfall but course knowledge may help the Englishman go one better in 2020.

Elsewhere in the field, the value could lie with one of this year’s surprise major winners.

The predicted rise of Colin Morikawa has yet to come to full fruition since he performed well in the Charles Schwab Challenge and Workday Charity Open, before his career high in the PGA Championship in August.

He is currently priced at 15/1 and presents some value despite recent form not hitting the heights of the 2020 season.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout could also provide a leftfield challenge. He finished 12th last year but has just come off the back of winning the South African Open by five shots.

Prior to this, he won the Alfred Dunhill Championship by four shots.

He’s a man in form and a good start on Thursday could see his odds tumble; that 21/1 ante post price might not last long.
