EGT‘s Bell Link 1 slot game has produced two jackpot winners worth more than CHF1 million ($1.23 million) each within a month of launching its nationwide Swiss Jackpot 2.0 Edition across Switzerland.
The Swiss Jackpot 2.0 Edition, launched at the end of June, links 108 gaming machines across 15 casinos operated by multiple gaming groups under the Swiss Jackpot Organization.
The first jackpot winner emerged a week after the launch at Swiss Casino Zürich, taking home CHF1,712,996.47 ($2,113,647.50). Two weeks later, a player at Grand Casino Basel won CHF1,042,919.81 ($1,286,847.28).
The progressive jackpot is available with bets ranging from CHF1 to CHF25. Players can win the top jackpot by landing three red Grand Bells, while a local in-house jackpot starting at CHF2.500,00 is triggered by one green Major Bell.
The participating casinos include properties operated by Swiss Casinos Holding AG, Groupe Barrière Suisse, Stadtcasino Baden AG and Groupe Tranchant, along with Grand Casino Luzern, Grand Casino Bern, Casinò Lugano, Casino Bad Ragaz and Casino Interlaken.
Swiss Jackpot 2.0 was developed specifically to comply with Swiss gaming regulations. The company created a new operating system that allows SAS-controlled jackpots to be managed through operators’ casino management systems rather than EGT’s proprietary jackpot controllers.
“We would like to thank the decision makers at all 15 participating casinos for the trust they placed in EGT by selecting this product, as well as the casino technicians whose dedication made the successful implementation of this project possible,” said Emilia Tomachinska, Managing Director of E-Systems GmbH, EGT’s distributor in German-speaking regions of Europe.
“Special thanks go to the Swiss Casinos Holding AG, which, as the operational headquarter of the Swiss Jackpot Organization, carried the largest load of the planning, organization, communication, coordination, testing & validation efforts, as well as DRGT, whose casino management system provides the jackpot engine, ensures seamless communication between all connected machines within the jackpot network, and reliably feeds our attractive LED jackpot signs with the latest jackpot values.”
Tomachinska said EGT’s development of a jackpot system tailored to Switzerland demonstrated the company’s commitment to delivering products that meet local regulatory requirements.
“The team of E-Systems wishes all casino guests throughout Switzerland many exciting and memorable moments with the Swiss Jackpot 2.0 Edition of EGT’s Bell Link 1,” she said.
