Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg odds

  • Elon Musk (-150)
  • Mark Zuckerberg (+110)

Oddsmakers at Bovada have Elon Musk (-150) as a slight favorite over Mark Zuckerberg should the two actually face off. Musk, who is over 6’1″, will have a distinct size advantage over the 5’7″ Zuckerberg.

But Zuck is much younger than Musk. The creator of Facebook is just 39 years old, 12 years younger than the 51-year-old Tesla CEO. Zuckerberg also has more combat training as he has been training for and competing in jiu-jitsu competitions.

Elon Musk (-150)

Real money sports betting sites have Elon Musk favored to defeat Mark Zuckerberg in the latest Musk vs. Zuckerberg odds. Musk is the larger of the two billionaires, in both physical size and net worth. But he is also more than a decade older than Zuckerberg, which could affect his conditioning.

The tech billionaires have agreed to the fight, but many of the details have yet to be finalized. For instance, if this is just a boxing-style exhibition, then Musk’s size advantage could be a major factor.

But if grappling is allowed, then Musk could be at a disadvantage. Zuckerberg has spent significant time training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has even won medals in grappling competitions. Musk, on the other hand, claims to have trained in several combat styles when he was younger, including:

  • Kyokushin karate
  • Taekwondo
  • Judo
  • Brazilian jiu-jitsu

The Tesla CEO noted that his experience with jiu-jitsu was “brief” during an appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast last year. But Musk’s initial challenge did not seem to rule out the use of grappling techniques.

If it is a striking-only contest, then many of the physical advantages would appear to be on Musk’s side. Depending on the length of the rounds, though, it would be hard not to question Musk’s endurance.

Mark Zuckerberg (+110)

The underdog in this potential exhibition of tech celebrities is Mark Zuckerberg (+110). At just 5’7, the Facebook founder would be a significant size disadvantage in this proposed exhibition.

Despite the size difference, Zuckerberg is not a major underdog in this fight. Neither billionaire is a professional fighter, so, depending on the rules of the fight, it would be hard to be too confident in either choice.

I think Zuckerberg’s best path to victory is to make sure that grappling is allowed in this proposed cage match. The Meta Platforms CEO has gone so far as to compete in jiu-jitsu competitions. He has even had success on the mat, winning gold and silver medals at an event earlier this year.

Zuckerberg did not face the toughest competition in that tournament, but it shows he was serious about the training he had done. Being in competition shape could also help Zuckerberg in the latter rounds of this exhibition.

The other scenario is a striking-only exhibition, which would be similar to other celebrity-fighting exhibitions we have seen. If this is a boxing, kickboxing, or Taekwondo match, then Zuckerberg could simply be out of his weight class. But I doubt he would allow his great asset, his grappling, to be barred from the fight.

Musk vs. Zuckerberg prediction: Mark Zuckerberg defeats Elon Musk (+110)

Why Is Elon Musk Fighting Mark Zuckerberg?

I think Zuckerberg is able to get the win over Musk. But why are these two tech moguls even fighting in the first place? After all, most billionaires choose to explore space or build their own submersibles to visit the Titanic.

Here is a brief history of the events that led to Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg agreeing to fight each other.

Facebook’s Failed Satellite

One of the earliest instances of contention between Musk and Zuckerberg took place in 2016. Zuckerberg employed one of Musk’s companies, SpaceX, to launch a Facebook satellite. However, the launch did not go as planned.

The satellite would have been the first of its kind for Facebook. If it had launched successfully, then it would have made it easier for Facebook users in sub-Saharan Africa to connect to Wi-Fi.

Unfortunately, the satellite never made it to space. The launch failed when the rocket carrying the satellite exploded on the launch pad. Zuckerberg placed the blame on SpaceX, saying he was disappointed that the company’s failure also destroyed the satellite.

Rivalry Builds on Social Media

After the failed partnership between Facebook and SpaceX, the tension between Zuckerberg and Musk continued to build. Musk removed his companies from Facebook in 2018 and publicly stated that he did not trust the platform.

It is also well-known that Zuckerberg does not have a Twitter page. As a result, the two tech CEOs have largely resorted to taking indirect shots at each other.

The billionaires have had several public disagreements over the years. One of the most prominent disagreements has been over the growth of artificial intelligence. Musk has been open about his concerns with the development of AI in recent years.

Zuckerberg, on the other hand, has labeled Musk’s concerns as nothing more than “doomsday scenarios.” The Facebook founder also called Musk “irresponsible” and said that Musk has a limited understanding of AI.

The relationship between Zuckerberg and Musk was contentious, but it was largely a cold war. That was until Meta announced it was developing its own version of Twitter. That was enough to push Musk over the edge.

Musk Challenges Zuckerberg to a Cage Match

Elon Musk purchased Twitter for $44 billion last October. His time as the company’s CEO has been mired in controversy. But Musk has not been shy of expressing himself on the platform despite the impact it has had on Twitter’s net worth.

Musk was expressing his disapproval of the new social media outlet. A commenter pointed out that Zuckerberg has a martial arts background, and Musk he was “up for a cage match” if Zuckerberg was.

Zuckerberg responded on Instagram, simply telling Musk to send him the location for the fight. Musk’s response was short and sweet, naming Las Vegas, NV as the site of the fight. Dana White of UFC fame quickly jumped in on the action, and the fight appears to be headed for the Octagon.

Entertainment Betting Tips

Wagering on celebrity cage matches and other entertainment betting markets can be a lot of fun. Here are three tips that can help you make money from these unique and exciting bets.

Make Small Bets

The process of wagering on entertainment betting odds is not that different from regular sports betting. So, just like you would with other types of bets, you should only bet a fraction of your bankroll.

My bettors only wager between 10% and 20% of their bankroll on a given wager. If you are new to entertainment betting, then you may want to start with even smaller amounts.

Placing smaller bets will also limit your potential winnings. Luckily, there are plenty of sportsbook bonuses available that you can use to get extra funds. Using bonus funds will decrease the amount of your actual bankroll that you are risking.

Always Shop for the Best Odds

Entertainment wagers are fun, but they are still real bets. So, just like you would do for any other sport, you should shop around for the best betting odds. I like the Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg odds at Bovada, but the odds will likely change as the potential fight grows closer.

Even if Bovada has the best odds right now, that could change later on. So, make sure you shop for the best odds when you are ready to place your wager.

Research Your Bets Beforehand

You should also spend time researching your pick like you would with any other bet. The more information you have about the bet, the better your chances of making the right choice. Reading expert predictions, shopping odds, and studying each pick are all parts of the research process.

Who Will Win Musk vs. Zuckerberg?

Bovada has released Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg odds, and the Tesla CEO is currently the favorite. I think that Zuckerberg can pull off the upset though, as long as grappling is allowed in this billionaire brawl.
