G2 vs. BIG Betting Predictions – Odds, Picks and Value

It happened! G2 had their revenge! NiKo’s individual brilliance was, once again, the driving factor behind a good result for G2! On the other end, as many predicted, OG was no match for BIG – the Germans had their revenge too. Now, these two are set to battle against each other for a spot in the upper bracket final. You’ve guessed it, our G2 vs. BIG predictions are here to tell you all about this highly anticipated BLAST Premier Fall Finals encounter!

G2 vs. BIG Betting Predictions

There’s a lot to play for here! A spot in the upper bracket final means two shots at clinching the grand finals. Two shots, ladies and gentlemen. Obviously, both teams will want to clinch the W, but only one of them will make it happen.

Let’s start our G2 vs. BIG predictions with a quick look at recent head-to-head clashes. Believe it or not, the Germans were on the winning end in the three last encounters. The most recent one saw them win on Overpass and Dust 2 and lose on Inferno. It was a proper reverse sweep a la Germany, one that I doubt we’ll see them repeat tomorrow.

With those words, let’s dig deeper and check out the cold hard stats which ought to help us make the most out of these esports picks!

Recent Results

Both teams are coming into this match following a win in the opening round. But, let’s go a bit further back. As far as BIG goes, I’m sure you’ve heard about their form this summer. They’ve been absolutely dominating the European CSGO.

A few months have passed since their dreamy displays, and their form did drop a bit… but it’s still the same old BIG roster that always has a ton of upset potential. Recent campaigns perhaps don’t showcase that in the best of fashion. Flashpoint S2 was a proper heartbreak I reckon, but they’ve had their revenge and I’m sure they’ll move on and put up a proper fight against NiKo and the G2 boys.

G2’s summer was outright awful when compared to BIG’s. Heck, this entire year has been one big heartbreak for G2. They’ve participated in grand finals of three notable events and lost all three of them. The last one (DH Masters Spring EU) was against BIG… so there better be more vengeful fire left in them!

Map Depth

Which maps are we going to see this time around? In the past, Dust 2 was by far the most popular option. With NiKo on board, such a chaotic map should go in favor of G2 even though BIG have the slightest statistical advantage.

Both teams have been excellent on Mirage in the last few months. Both are above 80%, with G2 having a slight edge with an 86% win rate in their last seven encounters. Overpass should go BIG’s way, although I wouldn’t be surprised if G2 bans it right off the bat.

All in all, I’m favoring G2 and I’m not going to hide it. I just fancy their chances against BIG. The stuff they’ve shown against FURIA means they’re in it to win it! Despite a solid match against OG, BIG are major underdogs in my books… I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this ends 2:0 in favor of G2.

Roster Quality

There’s not a doubt in my mind as far as roster quality goes – G2 takes the win in this department all day long. I mean, even before NiKo’s arrival G2 had a good roster going on. With nexa and hunter in the starting lineup, G2’s fragging power got a solid boost. Now that NiKo’s there too, it’s an absolute slaughter-fest. I mean, look at what happened to FURIA…

Of course, I don’t have anything bad to say about tabseN and the BIG guys. They’ve been excellent this summer, and if they can pull off another spell of those performances, they’ll definitely have a chance against G2. If not, I’m afraid the France x Balkan combo will annihilate them. Is 2:0 for G2 a high-value bet? At +195, it’s not too shabby!

Sorry @furia, the Kovacs are just built different 💪 #BLASTPremier pic.twitter.com/iwuSAdnqVT

The Kovac cousins ought to be the biggest threats to the Germans. NiKo and HuNter had an amazing match against FURIA. Nexa was right alongside them, displaying yet another great match for G2. The CR4ZY duo was always going to work great with NiKo. If they can keep the momentum going, and I’m sure they’ll give their best, G2 should cruise through this one. Yep, I think you know which way my G2 vs. BIG predictions are going.

G2 vs. BIG Betting Picks

Yep, G2 are the favorites here. I mean, they’re there for a reason – beating FURIA was one heck of an accomplishment, especially after that harsh defeat last week. Call me a fool, but I strongly believe G2 will reach the grand finals without falling into the lower bracket. With Astralis out of the equation in the upper bracket, and either Vitality or NaVi to take on next, G2’s odds are looking pretty good!

That’d be all for today!

Until next time…
