AT Virtual Expo organizers announced that in one of the interactive auditoriums offered by the VirtWay platform, a forum will take place on the adaptation and innovation needed to overcome the current COVID-related restrictions.

At the “The ‘New Normal’ in the Gaming Industry” forum, specialists and the public will analyze and debate the process of opening casinos in the region, the changes imposed by the biosecurity protocols, as well as the strengthening of virtual commercial relations, which are unavoidable as a result of this global health crisis. The call is mainly addressed to land-based gaming operators and to companies that organize on-site fairs to share points of view on the future of the meetings industry.

The virtual gaming fair, focused on Latin American markets, will take place from 13 to 15 October, and its main components are Exhibition Booths, Masterclasses by Totally Gaming Academy, Corporate Conferences and Networking events.

“While the universal vaccine that will permanently eradicate Covid-19 arrives, the economies of the world will undergo processes of gradual opening, to which we must obligatorily adapt our businesses,” said José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of 3A Producciones, organizers of GAT Virtual Expo. “The issue concerns both the operation of land-based games and the meeting industry. Hence the importance of this forum that will highlight the limitations and opportunities of the moment. It seems to me that for the organizers of fairs and congresses of the gaming industry, the migration towards hybrid events is a subject of careful analysis, given the slow recovery of business tourism and international travels. Likewise, gaming multinationals, large and medium companies, will be able to learn in the forum about the strengths of virtual platforms to carry out their own corporate events or those aimed at a specific audience.”

New sponsor of GAT Virtual Expo

Altenar has confirmed its participation as Silver Sponsor of the fair. The firm, which currently has B2B business in several Latin American countries such as Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Mexico, will exhibit its flags and make use of interactive muppies on the platform where Gaming & Technology Virtual Expo will take place. The company has joined the sponsors of the fair, accompanying BetConstruct, who is a Gold Sponsor.

In the next few days, sponsors and new exhibitors will be announced in addition to Rivalo, Alfastreet, Aruze and BetConstruct.

Mexico Business Roundtable

Within the networking spaces of the platform, GAT Virtual Expo prepares several Business Rounds in which consultancy will be provided for those interested in doing business in particular countries of the region. Each table will be attended by highly qualified professionals with in-depth knowledge of the legislation and the market they represent.

On this occasion, the Mexico Business Roundtable is confirmed. The specialists invited are: Dr. Miguel Ángel Ochoa Sánchez, President of the Association of Permit holders, Operators and Suppliers of the Entertainment and Gaming Industry in Mexico, A.C. (AIEJA); Mr. Carlos Portilla Robertson, Managing Partner of Portilla, Ruy-Díaz y Aguilar, S.C.; Mr. Iván Guerrero and Mr. Ricardo Valdivia, lawyers of the same firm, with an emphasis in games and raffles. The experts have a wide experience in the legal practice, both in Mexico and abroad.

The main topics that will be addressed in the Business Roundtable Mexico will be:

  • Legal framework and regulation of the gaming industry in Mexico;
  • Recommendations for the operation of online gaming in Mexico;
  • Description of gambling in Mexico and its players;

Previous Virtual Tour of the VirtWay platform

Previous visits to the virtual platform continue for those interested in knowing its functionality and defining the modality of their participation in the event from the possibilities it offers: virtual exhibition with stands to present products and services in a graphic and documentary way, corporate conferences, masterclasses, business conferences, and auditoriums and private rooms. The highlight is the personalized avatars that each visitor configures for himself before entering this interactive virtual world in 3D.

Some of those who have already visited the platform have shared their experience. “I found the GAT Virtual Expo platform a very interesting initiative to continue advancing the development of business in Latin America; to keep in touch with our operators and to keep up to date with market regulatory trends and new technologies,” said Leticia Palacios, Business Development LATAM of Microgaming.

Estefanía Venegas, Regional Manager – LATAM of Worldmatch, commented after her visit: “I really liked the platform, I think it really solves the lack of the face-to-face meeting. I find it very friendly and easy to use. The experience was very satisfactory.”
