Ruiz-Ocaña speaks four languages, including Spanish, German, English and French. He will be representing GLI at the World Gaming Executive Summit in Barcelona on the 6th-8th December 2021, where attendees will be able to meet the newest member of the team.

“I am really excited to be joining an industry-leading and respected global company,” said the new Business Development Manager for EMEA. “The EMEA team has already made me feel very welcome, and I look forward to helping them and GLI go from strength to strength.”

Gaming Laboratories International offers land-based, lottery and iGaming testing and assessment services worldwide. It provides suppliers, operators and regulators with guidance and ensures gaming innovations meet regulatory standards.

First launched in 1989, GLI has certified nearly 2 million items since then, as well as having tested equipment for more than 480 jurisdictions. It has a global network of laboratory locations across six continents, with US and international accreditations for compliance.

In October, GLI grew its Brazil presence and strengthened its LatAm operations by appointing Valter Delfraro Júnior as Government Relations and Business Development Executive for its Latin America & Caribbean Team.

Under this role, Delfraro will be supporting the industry with its certification and consultancy needs while exploring new opportunities in the country as well as internationally. Brazil will be his primary region of focus, while helping additional countries throughout the region with his expertise. His experience includes being part of the approval process of gaming software in regulatory bodies in the USA, LatAm and Spain.
