Fancy Blue (11/5) will be looking to bring her fine form from France over the channel in the day’s feature race after holding her nerve to win in the Prix de Diane Longines at Chantilly at the start of the month.
Donnacha O’Brien’s talented three-year-old also put in a fine show placing second in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and looks to be in the right shape to add the Nassau to her collection as she teams up with Ryan Moore today.
A landmark win at Newmarket in the Falmouth Stakes and the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot makes Nazeef (18/5) another big player in this field. The jury is out on how she’ll manage the step up to 1m 2f after proving almost unstoppable over 1m, but Jim Crowley is a jockey in form after sealing the Sussex Stakes, and they could prove a winning partnership today.
Finally, don’t dismiss Deirdre (11/2) and her chances of landing a Nassau double. Last year’s winner should be back in prime condition after a respectable run in the Eclipse Stakes and looks a little underestimated in this company.
