The upcoming edition of ICE London is set to provide a gateway to gaming investors for 14 business start-ups through the Pitch ICE stage, event organizer Clarion Gaming announced on Friday. The influential trade expo is set to take place next week at ExCel London, April 12-14.

ICE London will be demonstrating the central role it plays in helping to nurture the development of new talent when a total of 14 fledgling businesses will be given access to the most influential audience in world gaming,” Clarion Gaming said in a press release.

Start-ups are set to present their visionary projects on the Pitch ICE stage (N7) at the expo, on Tuesday 12 April. The 14 gaming companies showcasing their solutions and approaches to investors operate in a wide range of verticals and segments of the industry, including lottery, poker, manufacturing, sports betting, and more.

The start-ups are: Bespot; Better Change; Mobi Funds Inc; My Lotto Hub; Neesan Labs Parlay Poker; OneUpOneDown Ltd; Pokerload; Pow Gaming; Racing Star; Rubik Talent; Sparket; SMAT Virtual; Touch-LESS Gaming and We The Bookie.

Following an appearance on the Pitch ICE stage, in an interactive session moderated by Jesse Learmonth of The Betting Start-ups Podcast and Clarion Gaming’s Non-Executive Chairman Michael Caselli, the companies will be participating as exhibitors in what Clarion describes as “the biggest b2b gaming expo in the world.”

We have been providing start-ups with a gateway to industry investors and strategic partners since 2009, with international start-up events and competitions taking place at ICE London, ICE North America, ICE Africa and iGB Live!,” said Ewa Bakun, Clarion Gaming’s Director of Industry Insight and Engagement.

Pitch ICE is now set to return after a two-year Covid-induced absence, in an effort to provide a platform for growing businesses to reach gaming investors and present their proposals. Bakun describes the start-ups to be featured as having “a mountain of ideas, creativity and energy” despite a smaller scale.

Over the last decade many of our start-ups have secured important investments and acquisition partners following their pitch presentations and participation at the most influential global gatherings of gaming operators,” remarked the executive. “I would like to highlight the diversity of the shortlisted companies who will be debuting their start-ups at ICE London 2022.”

Bakun explained she believes this diversity reflects the changing face of the modern gambling industry, in which sustainability, diversity and social responsibility “are at the top” of the business agenda. “As an organizing team we are all really looking forward to seeing each company showcase their potential and experience the best fresh thinking from the world’s leading start-ups,” she added.

Clarion describes ICE London as providing insight on all of the topical issues impacting the industry, an event that is set to feature game creators, distributors, operators, retailers, trade associations, strategic bodies and regulators.

Visitors will have access to a range of initiatives, including Pitch ICE, the International Casino Conference, World Regulatory Briefing, the ICE VOX conference programme, the expanded Consumer Protection Zone, and the brand-new Hosted Meetings Programme.
