Melco awarded two recognitions at Asia Gaming Awards for CSR and Responsible Gaming efforts

Melco Resorts & Entertainment has been awarded two recognitions at the Asia Gaming Awards 2023 for achievements in Best Responsible Gaming Program and Outstanding Contribution in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The awards were conferred on the gaming operator at Manila Marriott Hotel in the Philippines on March 21.

They were among over 20 honors presented, with nearly 300 representatives of the Asian gaming sector in attendance.

Lawrence Ho, the company’s chairman, and CEO, said: “It is an honor to be recognized by Asia Gaming Awards for Melco’s commitment to the community through our continued and proactive efforts in the areas of CSR and RG.”

We look forward to further promoting and instilling a culture of RG within the company and the community through our three-pronged strategy that includes technology and process, community engagement, and colleague education,” he added.

The company’s Macau properties – City of Dreams, Studio City, and Altira Macauwere the first in the gambling hub to achieve RG Check accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council – a non-profit organization founded in Canada in 1983.

The internationally recognized accreditation also covers its properties in Manila and Cyprus. Besides, the gaming operator said it had organized a total of 2,200 volunteer activities in cooperation with community partners last year.
