MGA cancels E.G.G. Limited's authorization due to non-compliance of gaming regulations

The Malta Gaming Authority announced on Thursday it has decided to cancel the authorization awarded to E.G.G. Limited, bearing reference number MGA/B2C/744/2019, effective as of November 20, 2023.

The cancellation of E.G.G. Limited’s authorization was decided in terms of regulations 10 (1) (c) and 10 (1) (a) of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.

The MGA’s statement detailing the license cancellation comes with specific directives for E.G.G. Limited. The company is instructed to refund all player monies to the legitimate player, in addition, the company must submit to the Authority a transaction report extracted from their back-end system together with the supporting bank statements attesting that all player funds have been duly remitted to the registered players.

The Authority stated that it shall “reserve the right to request the Authorised Person to provide the necessary facilities to the Authority for the latter to extract and make copies of the relevant data, including but not limited to, essential regulatory data as defined in the Gaming Definitions Regulations.”

Back in January, the Malta Gaming Authority announced its decision to cancel the authorization awarded to Super7plus Limited, bearing reference number MGA/B2C/436/2017.
