Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 will take place at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, which is a 1.5 mile quad-oval track where Kevin Harvick has had a good amount of success at in his career.

Harvick will need that past Atlanta magic to come to life this weekend as he currently sits 7th in the standings and 10th in Playoff points.

He has four Top 10s on the year, but also has the second fewest laps led in the Top 10 and zero stage wins so far. These numbers are well below what we’re accustomed to seeing from the #4 car.

Last weekend at Phoenix, a track where Harvick has dominated at, he only finished 6th. It’s the perfect example of how his season has gone so far.

By his standards, Harvick is performing below expectations. Yet, this weekend, I expect him bounce back with a strong finish at Atlanta.

Harvick’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Betting Odds

  • To Win (+550)
  • Top 3 (+160)
  • Top 5 (-115)
  • Top 10 (-345)

NASCAR betting sites have Kevin Harvick listed as the favorite to win the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 this Sunday.

I really like his Top 3 and a Top 5 odds. I believe both wagers offer betting value, but the Top 5 option is the best choice and you will see why with the following information.

Stats at Atlanta Motor Speedway

In 30 career starts, Harvick has three wins, nine Top 5s, and 15 Top 10s. He leads all active drivers in those stats. He’s also led laps in seven straight races at this track.

In his last six Atlanta races, Harvick has two wins, four Top 5s, and six Top 10s. He’s also won twice in the last three trips to Atlanta.

Recent Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Results

Kevin Harvick won this race last year and in 2018 as well. Sandwiched between the two victories was a 4th place result in 2019.

Other than a 19th place result in 2014, Harvick has nine Top 10s in the last 10 races along with five Top 5s and two wins.

Take Harvick to Finish in the Top 5 This Weekend

Kevin Harvick will start 7th this Sunday, which is better than his last two starts of 9th last year and 18th in 2019.

NASCAR Pick: Kevin Harvick (-115)

Although Harvick is the race favorite and does have four Top 6 finishes this year, I feel more comfortable with taking the #4 car to finish in the Top 5 than to win the race.

He’s been good, but not great. And, until he wins a race, it’s hard to feel confident in Harvick winning at Atlanta especially when he couldn’t win at Phoenix last weekend or even crack the Top 5 at a track that he’s owned.
