On Sunday, May 2nd, the NASCAR’s Cup Series will head to the Kansas Speedway for the Buschy McBusch Race 400. Kevin Harvick has been one of the most prolific drivers at Kansas in his career, but he’s struggled to find his form from 2020 when he was the best driver in the field for most of the year.

For some drivers, Harvick’s 2021 results would be great. But, for the #4 car, these results are below expectations. In 10 races, Harvick has just three Top 5s and seven Top 10s. He’s been a consistent Top 10 car for most of the year, but has yet to be a threat to win a race. He’s only led 29 laps on the season and has not won a stage.
That could all change this weekend at Kansas.

NASCAR betting sites have Harvick listed as one of the Top 7 betting favorites for the Kansas race. His race winning, Top 3 and Top 5 wagers all offer value.
However, his Top 10 wager doesn’t offer value despite the high probability that Harvick finishes in the Top 10 this Sunday.
Harvick’s Experience at Kansas
Harvick leads all active Cup Series drivers in Wins (3), Top 5s (10), Top 10s (17), laps led (949), and average finish (9.3).
He’s been dominant at this track over the last eight years with three wins, nine Top 5s, 11 Top 10s and never finishing worse than 16th in the last 15 races at Kansas.
In the last seven Buschy McBusch races, Harvick has the following results:
- 2014: 2nd
- 2015: 2nd
- 2016: 2nd
- 2017: 3rd
- 2018: 1st
- 2019: 13th
- 2020: 4th
That’s a 3.8 average finish since 2014.

I also think that Harvick can win this race, but we’ll play it safe with a Top 5 wager instead.
