Odds Boosts From BetOnline for Sunday, December 6

odds-boosts-from-betonline-for-sunday,-december-6

It’s Sunday, which means we have a full slate of NFL football as well as another docket of English Premier League action. League leaders Tottenham and reigning champions Liverpool are in action, which can help tide you over in the morning until football kicks off in the afternoon.

BetOnline has its usual odds booster offerings up and ready for your bets! How should you take advantage of Sunday’s boosted odds?

NFL: Dolphins, Raiders, and Saints ALL to Win (+190)

The Miami Dolphins are expected to have Tua Tagovailoa back under center on Sunday when they take on the Bengals. Whether Tagovailoa starting over Ryan Fitzpatrick is actually good for the Dolphins’ prospects of winning at this point is questionable, but the former Alabama standout has won three of his first four NFL starts.

Miami is a sizable 10.5-point home favorite against a Bengals team that will be starting Brandon Allen for the second straight week. Cincinnati’s days of being competitive are likely done now that Joe Burrow is out for the season, so the Fins shouldn’t have much trouble in this one regardless of who starts at QB.

First 4 Career Starts:

Russell Wilson:

-594 Passing Yards

-4 TDs

-4 Ints

-2-2 Record

Tua Tagovailoa:

-593 Passing Yards

-6TDs

-0 INTs

-3-1 Record

The Raiders will look to avoid a second consecutive letdown on Sunday in New Jersey. Las Vegas is favored by 9.5 points on the road against a Jets team looking to crack the win column for the first time. New York fell to 0-11 last week with a 20-3 loss to Miami. If the Jets don’t win this week, they’re staring a winless season right in the face.

It’s hard to have too much faith in the Raiders considering how terribly they played last week against the Falcons, but Vegas is still a hefty -370 moneyline favorite in this one. Anything can happen, but there’s no need to overthink this one. Any result other than a Raiders victory would be a massive surprise.

The Saints will start Taysom Hill for a third straight week on the road against the Falcons. Hill started his first NFL game against this same team two weeks ago in an easy 24-9 win for New Orleans. Atlanta may be shorthanded with both Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones questionable, but we have a tight spread here. The Saints are just 2.5-point favorites on the road as they look to sweep the season series from their NFC South rivals.

NFL: Jets (+9.5) to Cover AND Over 47.5 Points (+325)

The New York Jets have been the worst team in the league this season by some distance, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that New York is also miserable against the spread. The Jets are just 3-8-0 ATS this season. The only team that has fared worse in comparison to oddsmakers’ expectations is the Cowboys, who are just 2-9-0 against the spread.

Vegas is 7-4-0 against the spread.

The Raiders, meanwhile, have been among the best ATS teams in football. This is certainly a great bounce-back spot for a Las Vegas team that put just six points on the board last week against the Atlanta Falcons.

The Jets have been unable to get anything going with Sam Darnold under center all year long. Vegas doesn’t have the stingiest defense, but it’s tough to depend on this Jets offense to muster much of anything. Games involving the Jets have hit the over five times through 11 weeks. The Raiders have been one of the best “over” bets in the NFL, hitting the over seven times through 11 games.

NFL: Packers (-9) and Chiefs (-14) BOTH to Cover (+360)

The Packers will be home at Lambeau Field with the Eagles in town. Philadelphia has looked completely lost all season long, especially on the offensive side of the football. It’s going to be a cold day in Green Bay, but there isn’t much reason to expect Aaron Rodgers and co. to struggle. Rodgers was firing on all cylinders last Sunday night against the Bears, when he threw four touchdown passes in an easy 41-25 victory.

Unless Carson Wentz suddenly rediscovers his old form, it’s tough to imagine the Eagles keeping up in this one. Philly has failed to crack even 20 points in any of their last three games. While the Eagles’ defense has put up respectable numbers, trying to match up with the Packers at full strength is a unique and difficult challenge.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host the rival Broncos on Sunday Night Football. Denver will actually have real quarterbacks available to them this week, but the defending Super Bowl champs are still favored by a couple of touchdowns. Patrick Mahomes threw for nearly 500 yards last week in a statement win over the Buccaneers, and the Chiefs cruised to a 43-16 win the last time these two teams met earlier this season.

NFL: Patriots (+1.5) to Cover AND Over 47.5 Points (+330)

The 5-6 Patriots got back into the win column last week with a last-second win over the Cardinals, but New England’s chances of staying on top of the AFC East are dying in a hurry. New England will try to keep pace with Buffalo this week when they take on the Chargers in LA. Los Angeles hasn’t done much winning this season, but the Patriots’ lackluster pass defense will have their hands full with Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, and co.

The Patriots will have to control the clock and keep Herbert off the field if they want to have a shot here. Cam Newton has been one of the worst passers in the NFL all season.

The former league MVP has thrown just four touchdown passes all year, but the Pats have been able to stay relevant in the playoff picture thanks to their old school rushing offense. Newton has contributed nine rushing touchdowns on the year, while Damien Harris has averaged better than five yards per carry.

If the Chargers get out to a big early lead, it’s going to be extremely difficult for the Patriots to close the gap. New England hasn’t had a quick-strike style offense all season, but the Chargers do have an exploitable defense. Both teams come into this game at 5-6 ATS so far in 2020.

Premier League: Liverpool and Tottenham BOTH to Win (+265)

Liverpool will be home Sunday against Wolverhampton after an impressive win over Ajax in Champions League earlier this week. The Reds are expected to rest Mo Salah for this game, which likely means we see a front-three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Diogo Jota in this one. Jota will be facing his old club for the first time since making the big-money move to Anfield earlier this summer.

Liverpool legend John Barnes has claimed that Diogo Jota is outplaying Timo Werner & that Liverpool did the right thing by going for Jota instead of Werner. What’s your thoughts on this guys? For me it’s too early to judge anyone, only time will tell. pic.twitter.com/lq9zkkMqpq

Liverpool are -180 home favorites, per BetOnline’s odds.

Tottenham will look to stay atop the Premier League table with a London Derby at home against Arsenal. Spurs were held to a scoreless draw by Chelsea in another London Derby last weekend, but Arsenal are a more beatable opponent. Spurs are even-money favorites as of this writing, with the Gunners checking-in at +270 to secure all three points.

What’s The Best Bet?

I don’t trust the Patriots at all, so I’m passing on the opportunity to bet on New England to cover a 1.5-point spread on the road. The Chargers aren’t a trustworthy team, either, so this just looks like a game to avoid from a betting perspective. The same can be said of the Jets’ ability to cover the spread. New York didn’t cover a single spread through the first seven games of the season, and it’s not crazy to think the Raiders could just shellack them in this one. Pass on the Jets covering, too.

Every other bet is in play.

Liverpool and Spurs are both good bets to win, though neither side has a cakewalk matchup, either. The +265 odds are appealing enough, so I don’t mind a flier on the Premier League bet today.

The Dolphins, Raiders, and Saints all look like solid bets to win, as well. I’m still leery of Taysom Hill, but the Falcons are not a particularly fearsome opponent. The three-way NFL bet is a fine play at +190, even if it doesn’t offer a ton of upside.

The best bet here is the Packers and Chiefs both to cover. I’m expecting Kansas City to steamroll what should be an overwhelmed Broncos team on Sunday night, while the Eagles just don’t have enough offensive firepower to keep up with Aaron Rodgers for 60 minutes. Bet the Packers and Chiefs both to cover their respective spreads at +360.

Boosted Odds Prop Bet:

Packers (-9) and Chiefs (-14) BOTH to Cover (+360)
