We have quite a full week of gambling news to share! It seems that the once reviled online gambling in America is helping to push the industry to new heights! Plus, there is another Las Vegas casino grand opening set for this week, as we welcome Resorts World Las Vegas to The Strip! Also, we have sadly learned of the passing of a Fremont Street icon.

Hello friends! Another week, another stroll through the gambling news. And this week we’ll be talking about online gambling in America, grand openings in Las Vegas, and the World Series of Poker. But first, it’s this week’s big story!

Over the past several weeks we’ve been discussing this post-pandemic explosion of gambling all across the country. It’s had a lot to do with the expansion of sports betting… a lot. But not all. Many states are now reporting record revenue numbers for internet casino games. States like Pennsylvania, where online slots and table games are up 70% over this time last year, generating nearly $100 million just in the month of May! And in New Jersey, sports betting brought in $50 million last month. Not bad… not bad at all. But nowhere near what online casino games pulled in. They generated over twice as much money during the exact same time period.

Meanwhile, Resorts World Las Vegas is set for their grand opening this week! And when they do, your money will be no good there… at least, not for their games as their casino floor will be completely cashless! Calling themselves the most “technologically advanced” casino on the strip, Resorts World will use smart tables and digital wallets. Players can fund their digital wallet by using a bank account, a credit card, or even PayPal. Resorts world will open with 1,400 slot machines and over 100 table games, along with a poker room and a sports book… all completely cashless! And if they’re successful, you can bet your ass that all the other Vegas casinos are going to follow right along!

The 2021 World Series of Poker is scheduled to take place live, in person, face-to-face, at the Rio Casino this fall. And if you’re interested, the WSOP just released their full tournament schedule. All told there will be 18 different bracelets up for grabs with buy-ins ranging from $400 all the way up to $250,000! Play begins on September 30th, with the Main Event kicking off on November 4th. It all comes to an end on November 17th with the Main Event Final Table! You can find the full schedule when you visit WSOP.com!

Now, we’ve covered poker, sports betting, and online gambling in America… why not get to this week’s game review for a casino skill game? It’s the follow-up to the popular Beat Square Tournament from our friends at Konami! The Beat Square Single Player game tests players response time, rhythm, and coordination… all while competing for cash! You can watch this review and hundreds more when you visit and subscribe to our YouTube channel!
