As the gaming industry recovers from the pandemic, we are seeing record numbers all across America. Pennsylvania online gambling is performing as well as any, generating nearly $99 million last month.
The jump in numbers is over 75% higher that May of 2020. It is also a 10% increase over April of this year. So what does that mean for Pennsylvania taxes?
Well, the state realized over $27 million in tax profits from iGaming alone! The best performing online casino was the Hollywood Casino at Penn National.
The most exciting aspect of this growth is that online slots and table games both reached new heights in May. A 73% gain in those areas translated to just over $67 million in revenue.
