With less than twelve hours to go until the first matches, the CSGO betting community is slowly turning its focus towards the sixteen competing teams… and an additional eight waiting for the group stage contenders. We’ve already covered one match – Liquid vs. MIBR – and now we’re returning with in-depth Renegades vs. Mousesports predictions!

The winner of this match crosses with the winner of Gambit vs. Team One. Right off the bat, we have to emphasize Mousesports as the heavy favorites. Match-winner odds on ropz and the boys are -667, bringing forth next to nothing in the value department.

No worries guys, our Renegades vs. Mousesports picks will have more value for you!

Renegades vs. Mousesports Betting Predictions

First things first, this is the first head-to-head match between these two sides in their current setups. Form-wise, though, Renegades are coming into this match with just one defeat in the last six matches, whereas Mousesports have three. More on this later on.

But, let’s back up a bit and address the elephant in the room!

Betting on CSGO – Where to?

You’re interested in betting on CSGO? Good for you! You’re not alone, though – CSGO betting is rapidly becoming the favorite pastime of gamers across the globe. The demand is high, and the supply has been getting frequent updates over the last few years.

This resulted in newcomers not knowing where to start betting on their favorite esports. If you’re yet to place your first online wager, you must be puzzled too. No worries – checking out our guide for finding the top CSGO betting websites won’t take too much of your time but will give you the much-needed answers.

Form

Back to Renegades vs. Mousesports predictions! There’s a proper mismatch on paper here, and I’m sure everyone who’s a regular in the CSGO esports waters already knew that. Mousesports belong in the upper echelons of the European scene, whereas Renegades are still trying to find their pace following the 100T acquisition in late 2019.

But, when talking raw form, Renegades have the upper hand. As mentioned earlier, Mousesports have three defeats in the last six matches; Renegades have just one. Though, raw form might not be the best measure here, since Renegades’ opposition was nowhere near the level of teams mouz went up against. We’re talking Astralis and Vitality here, mind you!

Not only that – Renegades’ last match was way back at the start of December last year. Almost two and a half months without competitive action – that ought to be a burden coming into this one. So yeah, as far as the form goes Renegades are statistically in front but take that with a grain of salt. Quality exceeds quantity here; competitive rhythm is important too!

Map Depth

Mousesports has several high-percentage maps at the moment! Mirage at 67%, Inferno at 80%, and Train at 71%. They are on 50% on both Vertigo and Dust 2; Nuke and Overpass are maps they’ll want to avoid tomorrow.

Renegades will want to get their hands on Dust 2, that’s for sure. Inferno wouldn’t be a bad choice for them either, though I’m certain Mousesports will block both of those, despite Inferno being their best map. We’re most likely going to see either Mirage or Train here. Needless to say, Mousesports will dictate the tempo in the map banning phase, and that should see them through to the next round.

Roster Strengths

There’s no point in having a large discussion here. I mean, in-form karrigan and frozen will be merciless tomorrow. Ropz is always an important figure for Mousesports, and the fans will expect to see him up for the challenge against Renegades. As far as roster strength goes, Mousesports is the clear winner here!

What about concrete picks? Well, I thought you’d never ask!

Here’s what I’m going with for tomorrow’s IEM XV Katowice opening round:

Renegades vs. Mousesports Picks

In theory, the match should be fairly straightforward for Mousesports… but the map pool and form point out that Renegades won’t go down without a fight. That said, I expect ropz and the co to win the match, but with only a few extra rounds to spare. It largely depends on which map they end up with, but I’m fairly confident Renegades will give mouz a run for their money tomorrow.

Why am I overcomplicating this? Why didn’t I just go with a simple match-winner on mouz? Well, at -667, that’s not really an option. One would think that’s easy money, but this is a bo1 contest and upsets do happen. Heck, BLAST Premier Spring groups were one massive upset. If you’re going to bet on this one, go with a low-stake medium-risk option, such as Mousesports to win and over 26.5 rounds at +175.

Mousesports –Over 26.5 Rounds at (+175)
