Artful enough on debut in victory at Catterick under this rider last time out; intriguing each-way player given that win came on good-to-firm too.
15:05 (Queen’s Vase) – Wordsworth – 11/4 🏇
Win here would be poetic justice for recent Navan defeat after being squeezed out by a neck in that Listed race; has shown reliable staying credentials on two Curragh outings prior to that run.
15:40 (Duke Of Cambridge Stakes) – Double Or Bubble – 12/1 EW 🏇
Double looks worth a dabble each-way having bagged a hat-trick of wins over good ground; this is a significant step up but capable of further progress amid more esteemed company.
16:20 (Prince Of Wales’s Stakes) – Armory – 10/3 🏇
Has all the weapons required to take the fight to the highly-fancied Love in the day’s solitary Group 1; may have edge on lightly-raced rivals after removing any ring rust with win at Chester in May.
17:00 (Royal Hunt Cup) – Astro King – 10/1 EW 🏇
Notably caught the eye at Nottingham back in April with narrow win over Royal Hunt rival Finest Sound; not disgraced by any means when third in the Thirsk Hunt Cup.
17:35 (Windsor Castle Stakes) – Ruthin – 5/2 🏇
Ripped up the rest of the field when winning by 6L at Keeneland back in April, could be one of Wesley Ward’s strongest contenders this week as the American bids for more Ascot glory.
18:10 (Kensington Place Stakes) – Dreamloper – 13/2 🏇
Could be the dream ticket for Ed Walker and Oisin Murphy in the day’s finale after pushing Lights On all the way here last month; also won over good ground in Berkshire last September.
