SBC Summit North America organizers have confirmed the event’s return to New Jersey in a new summer date of July 12-14, 2022.

With the show floor at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus already sold out, organizers have said this year’s edition is set to break the 2021 record as the best-attended dedicated event yet staged for the sports betting and emerging iGaming sectors in the region.

The Summit will be the centerpiece of three days of high-level events, which also include the Player Protection Symposium on July 12, and the second annual SBC Awards North America at Pier Sixty, Manhattan on July 14.

Sue Schneider, VP Growth & Strategy Americas for SBC, said: “We’re delighted to be returning to New Jersey and bringing together a community of sports betting and igaming operators, regulators, affiliates, and suppliers to connect and discuss the developments shaping the future of this fast-moving industry. The feedback from last year’s event was overwhelmingly positive, presenting us with a real challenge to ensure this edition is even more successful. However, we have some exciting plans in place that make the 2022 edition unmissable for everyone involved in betting or online casino in the U.S. and Canada.”

As with every SBC-organized event, the conference will bring together many of the online gambling industry’s most influential executives to share their experiences, detail solutions to tackle some of the sector’s biggest issues, and ideas for succeeding in newly-regulated markets.

More than 250 high-level speakers will participate in the conference over 13 and 14 July, with those already confirmed including representatives from FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars Digital, Bally’s Corporation, Penn National Gaming, Entain, and Resorts Digital Gaming.

The key themes for the eight-track conference are:

  • the converging worlds of entertainment, professional sports, and betting
  • leadership in sports betting
  • the future of igaming
  • the latest sports betting technology
  • regulatory progress and entry into new markets
  • the investment landscape, from listed companies to the startup culture
  • payments technology
  • player engagement strategies

The conference will also feature the second edition of the SBC First Pitch contest, in which sports betting and igaming startups will compete to win a prize package that will help the victor’s development and growth plans. Last year saw sports betting ratings agency SharpRank and digital media specialist Parleh Media Group share a top prize valued at more than $90,000.

In 2021, the Summit’s show floor featured major global suppliers and some of the industry’s most innovative challenger brands showcasing their latest technology, games, and content to an audience of operator decision makers from markets across North America. The event was also selected by suppliers including IGT, SCCG, and PayNearMe as a setting to launch new products and services.

Many of the exhibitors from last year have confirmed their return, in order to present the next generation of their products to an audience that includes every major online operator in the region, along with representatives of tribal and commercial casinos.

The event will also feature an evening networking program included with the ticket. Delegates will have access to three nights of exclusive events, including the Sports Betting Hall of Fame Class of 2022 ceremony and a closing party.
