In a first of its kind deal for the Tennessee Titans, the NFL team has announced that they have entered into a partnership with the popular sports betting platform and sportsbook BetMGM.

Not only is this exciting news for the Titans, but it also marks the first sports betting partnership with a professional team in the state of Tennessee.

Although other states have already seen these types of deals blossom, Tennessee is still working towards launching their sports betting regulations by November. So, a partnership like this will definitely help the state kickoff their highly anticipated legalized sports betting platform.

What the Partnership Will Include

Expect to see the BetMGM brand heavily featured on all of the Titans digital platforms. Additionally, there’s talk of seeing branding during replays on the in-stadium big screen and during other in-game moments.

Furthermore, the sportsbook has been given exclusive naming rights for the Titans’ Saint Thomas Sports Park television studio, as well as various content that is aired through the studio that relates to the Titans.

There will even be a raffle that benefits the Titans Foundation wherein BetMGM will act as a sponsor. It’s all about getting the BetMGM brand out there, creating buzz, and hopefully drumming up even more interest in sports betting once it goes live in November.

Titans Welcome the New Partnership

Like many other NFL teams that have already secured similar partnerships, the Titans have publicly shared their excitement about this deal and the potential it has moving forward. Team representative Gil Beverly made the following comments:

“We are thrilled to bring BetMGM to the state of Tennessee. BetMGM will deliver new experiences and levels of engagement to our fans and we’re excited to welcome them in as an official partner.”

The goal is that the sportsbook platform will be able to give fans a new level of engagement and all-new experiences. Injecting energy into sports betting will ultimately work out in the favor of Tennessee in the form of a healthy tax revenue.

With online sports betting set to go live in Tennessee on November 1st, BetMGM was just one of the three sportsbooks that the Tennessee Education Lottery Board’s Sports Wagering Committee gave a conditional license too.

These licenses were issued back on September 23rd, and were an important step in preparing for the targeted launch date. Besides BetMGM, the other operators were DraftKings and FanDuel.

Tennessee Hoping for More Potential Partnerships

While BetMGM was the first to strike a deal with one of the state’s premiere professional sports teams, it’s expected that DraftKings and FanDuel will also attempt to find similar partnerships in Tennessee. In fact, the state is hoping for more of these deals as it will increase the overall sports betting tax revenue.

It should be noted that some of the details in this partnership between BetMGM and the Titans won’t be able to go live until the state officially approves and rolls out their sports betting regulations by November 1st.

In the meantime, the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation will continue to accept applications from other sports betting operators, which opens the door to more potential lucrative partnerships like the Titans and BetMGM.
