The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Kansas Speedway this weekend for the Buschy McBusch Race 400. Sunday’s event marks the 11th race of the 2021 season and kicks off the month of May where we will have five straight weekends of racing action.

NASCAR betting sites have released a field of prop bets for this Sunday’s race from Kansas City, Kansas. Let’s take a look at some of the popular Buschy McBusch Race 400 prop bets, courtesy of DraftKings and Bovada, and make some checkered flag winning predictions.

Kansas Driver Matchups

In order to win these prop bets, you must pick which driver that you think will finish higher:

Kevin Harvick vs Joey Logano

Both drivers have won three times apiece at Kansas, but it’s Harvick who has the advantage in all other categories.

For starters, Logano has a 17.5 average finish and Harvick has a 9.3 average finish which leads all active drivers. Furthermore, Harvick has more Top 5s and Top 10s than Logano.

Joey has run well in the fall Kansas race, but in the spring Kansas race Logano has three crashes in the last five Buschy McBusch events. Harvick has a 4.6 average finish over his last five spring Kansas events.

Take Harvick to beat Logano this Sunday.

Kansas Driver Matchups –Kevin Harvick (-120)

Buschy McBusch Race 400 Car Prop Bets

Car Number of Race Winner

  • Even (-120)
  • Odd (-110)

The Even option is slightly favored for this prop bet and I agree. I am taking the Even option because of the following drivers: Keselowski (2), Harvick (4), and Logano (22).

Combined, those three drivers have eight wins at Kansas. Other even numbered cars that have also had success at this track include William Byron, Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch.

Car Number of Race Winner –Even (-120)

Car Number of Race Winner

  • Over 11.5 (-110)
  • Under 11.5 (-120)

I like the Under 11.5 option for this prop bet. In fact, I like this even more than the previous prop.

With the Under, we get the following drivers: Keselowski (2), Harvick (4), Larson (5), Elliott (9) and Hamlin (11). These five drivers have combined to win nine Kansas races including the last three Buschy McBusch races.

Manufacturer of Race Winner

  • Ford (+170)
  • Chevrolet (+175)
  • Toyota (+180)

This wager sees all three options really close in odds and it’s because all three manufacturers have drivers that can win at Kansas.

Ford has Keselowski, Logano and Harvick. Chevy has Elliott and Larson. Toyota has Busch, Truex and Hamlin. This is a tough call between Ford and Toyota because all six of those drivers have won at this track.

Ford has won two of the last three Buschy McBusch races and Toyota has won three of the last five.

Hendrick Motorsports has 62 wins on 1.5-mile tracks, and we’re not done yet. 😎

This week, I am leaning towards Ford to win on Sunday as I picked Harvick to edge out Ford’s Team Penske and Toyota’s Joe Gibbs Racing.

Manufacturer of Race Winner –Ford (+170)

Team of Race Winner

  • Joe Gibbs Racing (+185)
  • Hendrick Motor Sports (+200)
  • Team Penske (+300)
  • Stewart-Haas Racing (+700)
  • Any Other Team (+1600)
  • Chip Ganassi Racing (+3000)
  • Richard Childress racing (+3000)
  • JTG Daughtery Racing (+3000)
  • Roush Fenway Racing (+8000)

This is a good opportunity to hedge our bets. I picked Kevin Harvick to win the Buschy McBusch Race 400, but I believe it’s smart to choose another team to improve our chances of winning some money this weekend.

Team Penske has won two of the Ten spring Kansas races and Joe Gibbs Racing has won three. That means half of the Buschy McBusch races have been won by these two teams. Team Penske also has four wins in the fall Kansas race while JGR has two.

For this prop bet, you can’t go wrong with either team, but I am leaning towards Penske. They offer better value at +300 and have won two of the last three races at Kansas.

Logano and Keselowski have all the wins for Penske, but you can’t count out the third member Ryan Blaney this Sunday. He sits 5th in the driver standings with seven straight Top 11 results. Blaney has three Top 5s and six Top 10s in 12 Kansas starts.

Team of Race Winner –Team Penske (+300)

Other Buschy McBusch Race 400 Prop Bets

Grid Position of Race Winner

  • Over 15.5 (-105)
  • Under 15.5 (-125)

The following is the Top 15 for the starting order of this weekend’s race:

  1. Brad Keselowski
  2. William Byron
  3. Michael McDowell
  4. Kevin Harvick
  5. Matt DiBenedetto
  6. Austin Dillon
  7. Ryan Blaney
  8. Christopher Bell
  9. Kyle Busch
  10. Cole Custer
  11. Tyler Reddick
  12. Ryan Preece
  13. Bubba Wallace
  14. Ryan Newman
  15. Martin Truex Jr.

As you can see, two of my betting favorites Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick are starting in the first four spots. Keselowski has the pole and his teammate Ryan Blaney is starting 7th.

Sunday is already looking good for @keselowski.

We also have Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. in this group of 15 drivers. Combined, they have three wins at Kansas.

The sleeper of this bunch is William Byron. He’s 4th in the standings and has three straight Top 10 results at Kansas.

Grid Position of Race Winner –Under 15.5 (-125)
