Colts vs Titans TNF Game Preview
These two AFC South divisional rivals have played against each other 41 times with the Indianapolis Colts holding a commanding 34 to 17 lead. The Colts are 14-3 in the last 17 head to head meetings and 15-8 all-time at Tennessee. Indy has gone 7-1 in the last eight games at TN.
- The Indianapolis Colts (5-3) are coming off a disappointing performance last Sunday as they lost to the Ravens 24-10. Indy had a hard time scoring points and just seemed to make too many costly mistakes. Now, they look to rebound and get a big win this weekend. Can the Colts upset the Titans on the road?
- The Tennessee Titans (6-2) snapped a two game losing skid by defeating the Bears 24 to 17 in Week 9. They got out to a big lead and held on for the win. Tennessee is looking to string together another winning streak by picking up a much needed divisional victory.

Free TNF Sports Bet and Game Prediction: Over 48.5 points (-110)
In their last 10 divisional meetings, the Colts have averaged 26.8ppg and the Titans have averaged 23.1ppg. That’s a total of 50.1ppg.
On the season, these two rivals combine to score 55ppg as the Colts average 26ppg and the Titans average 29ppg. They give up a combined 45.1ppg as Indy allows 20ppg and the Titans allow 25.1ppg.
In their three losses, the Colts are allowing 27.7ppg. In the Titans two losses, they’ve given up 29ppg. In losing efforts, these two teams allow 56.7ppg.

Indy has allowed 27ppg in their one divisional game this season and the Titans have allowed 34.5ppg in their two divisional games. That’s a combined 61.5ppg in divisional matchups.
Those numbers are compelling enough to go with the Over, but there’s more.
The Over is 6-4 in the last 10 head to head meetings. Furthermore, the Over is 4-1 in Indy’s last five road games and 5-1 in their last six AFC South games. The Over is 5-2 in Tennessee’s last seven overall games, 4-1 in their last five home games and 5-1 in their last six divisional matchups.
All of the data is pointing towards these two teams going Over 48.5 points on Thursday Night Football.
I expect the Colts to bounce back this week and score at least 25 points in this matchup. Tennessee does not have a good defense as they’re allowing 25.1ppg, 403.9 total ypg and 284.8 passing ypg. You can expect Colts QB Philip Rivers to have a strong performance throwing the ball.
However, this game is going to come down to whichever team does a better job stopping the run since they both like to establish a ground game and use the play action pass.
Indy allows just 83.6 rushing ypg while the Titans run the ball to the tune of 147.6 ypg. Conversely, the Colts average 102.4 ypg on the ground and the Titans allow 119.1 rushing ypg.
I like this matchup for the Colts and see Indy picking up a big road win this week. They will contain Derrick Henry on the ground and force Tannehill to beat them through the air. I do give the edge to Tennessee in the passing game, but their defense is too much of a liability.
This game could go either way as to who wins despite Indy owning the head to head series over the last several years. With that said, I feel more confident in the Over/Under than any other wager for this TNF game.
