This weekend, the UFC returns with a stacked fight card featuring two of the best heavyweight fighters alive. The undercard of this event is also filled with world-class matchups. The fighters have weighed in and the odds are now set. Today, I’m going to break down the five best underdog bets for UFC Blaydes vs. Lewis.

MMA betting is more popular now than ever before. Before checking out the odds, we’ll look at which site is offering the best betting options for this weekend’s fights. There’s a lot to get into!

Here’s what you need to know.

Best Online Sportsbook for Blaydes vs. Lewis

The UFC is back at the Apex Center with a stacked event schedule. On Saturday, the promotion will host another Fight Night event featuring two of the best heavyweights on the roster. It’s a showcase for the promotion and fans are already getting excited to see how things play out.

Many of these fans are now looking for an online sportsbook to wager on these fights. There are many fantastic ones available offering odds on every UFC event taking place. The majority of these sites are safe and provide solid odds.

I believe Bovada is the best overall UFC betting site right now. Since launching in 2011, the website has developed a massive user-base around the country. It offers a variety of different betting options for each fight taking place on every single event.

Members of Bovada can rest easy knowing their money is safe. There have been no major complaints about this popular online sportsbook in recent years. On the contrary, members have been praising the site’s sleek design and user interface.

There’s not a lot to criticize about this online sportsbook. For MMA fans, it offers just about everything you could possibly need. Most important are the incredible odds for each fight taking place this Saturday night.

Many are beginning to notice how many great underdog bets are available on this fight card. These are offering some serious opportunities to win big. Below are some of the best ones available right now.

Breaking Down the 5 Best Underdog Bets for UFC Blaydes vs. Lewis

Tomorrow’s event seems to be flying under the radar a little bit. Sure, it doesn’t have any true superstars on the card. There are a number of solid matchups, though, and it should be non-stop action from start to finish.

Bettors are now taking a close look at the final odds for this event. Several of the underdog fighters seem to be drawing particular interest. A wager on these fighters could end up paying off in a big way.

Without further ado, now is the perfect time to look at the five best underdog bets for UFC Blayds vs. Lewis.

Bet on Shana Dobson (+125) vs. Casey O’Neill (-155)

Early on in the night, two exciting flyweights will step into the cage in an effort to move closer toward a title shot. Casey O’Neill rides a perfect 5-0 record into this matchup. Shana Dobson is riding high off her recent UFC win over Mariya Agapova in August of last year. This should be one of the most exciting bouts of all the prelims taking place on Saturday.

Based on their styles, this will probably up being an exciting striking battle. Casey O’Neill has a lot of potential, yet she’s never faced someone at the elite level in MMA. Still, at 5-0, she is understandably the betting favorite heading into this bout.

Many fans were writing Shana Dobson off after she lost three-straight fights in the UFC between 2018 and 2020. She finally bounced back in a big way and proved she is one of the most dangerous strikers in the women’s 125-pound division. Her odds of +125 are looking appealing to many fans around the world.

Prediction: Shana Dobson wins via 1st-round TKO

Shana Dobson was always better than her record showed. That became clear when she defeated the highly-touted prospect Mariya Agapova. I think she’ll be confident in this matchup and land another massive shot early on to get a stoppage victory.

Bet on Drakkar Klose (-175) vs. Luis Pena (+145)

The lightweight clash between Drakkar Klose and Luis Pena is without a doubt one of the best underdog bets for UFC Blaydes vs. Lewis. This is another fight between strikers that fans are likely to love.

Drakkar Klose is still underrated at lightweight. He’s defeated several extremely talented men including UK striker Marc Diakiese. He even had Beneil Dariush badly hurt at one point in their fight! Klose is a natural lightweight here and it’s not hard to see why he enters as the favorite.

It’s great to see Luis Pena move up to lightweight. He’s way too big to fight at 145 pounds and has his best work ahead of him. Using long, somewhat awkward striking, he’s been able to finish several elite fighters. Pena took this fight on short-notice which will either hurt him or pay off in a big way.

Prediction: Luis Pena wins via unanimous decision

There are many different ways this fight could play out. I can’t help but feel the short notice matchup ends up helping Luis Pena. He’s been training at ATT in Florida and seems to be in tremendous shape. If he can keep Klosse on the outside with his range, he can earn a fairly easy decision victory.

Bet on Derrick Lewis (+300) vs. Curtis Blaydes (-400)

I couldn’t make a list of the best underdog bets for UFC Blaydes vs. Lewis without mentioning the main event! This is an extremely important fight for both men. A victory is almost crucial in order for both to stay in the hunt for a heavyweight championship.

FINALLY.

Blaydes & The Beast are a day away from their awaited showdown 😳

Aside from a pair of losses to Francis Ngannou, Curtis Blaydes has done nothing but win in the UFC. He’s one of the best wrestlers in the division and has significantly improved his striking over the years. Blaydes will clearly look to take this fight to the mat in this one against a power puncher like Derrick Lewis.

“The Black Beast” is riding a three-fight win streak into this matchup, yet he remains the significant underdog. Granted, he’s not an elite wrestler, but Lewis has the power to end any fight at a moment’s notice. That seems to be the biggest attribute in his toolbox and he claims he’ll earn a quick knockout in this fight on Saturday.

Prediction: Derrick Lewis wins via 3rd-round KO

It’s almost a guarantee that Derrick Lewis will get taken down in this bout. The question is whether or not he will manage to get up. I think he will. He showed a great ability to get back to his feet against Ilir Latifi and Aleksei Oleinik. Once Blaydes begins to tire, Derrick will rally and earn a knockout victory.

Bet on Jamall Emmers (-240) vs. Chas Skelly (+190)

The third fight of tomorrow’s event takes place between two exciting featherweights. As many are pointing out, these two men have very different styles. In the end, one of these styles will prove to be more effective.

Jamall Emmers has gone 1-1 thus far into his UFC career. Most recently, he earned a fantastic decision win over Vince Cachero. He’s an excellent striker looking to finally get a stoppage win in the promotion. It won’t come easy against a tough fighter like Chas Skelly.

Skelly was one of the brightest young up-and-comers back in 2016 and 2017. A broken arm halted much of his progress and he’s been working to move up the rankings ever since. Some believe this will end up being his triumphant return.

Prediction: Chas Skelly wins via 2nd-round submission

Do yourself a favor and check out Chas Skelly’s 19-second submission over Maximo Blanco. He’s an incredible grappler and finally seems to be recovered from his injuries. I think he’ll get Emmers to the ground in the second and eventually lock up a choke for the victory.

Bet on Julian Erosa (-110) vs. Nate Landwehr (-120)

This event could have just been called “The Strikers.” Once again, we’re highlighting a battle between two extremely fan-friendly fighters in the featherweight division. I think the odds make this fight one of the best underdog bets for UFC Blaydes vs. Lewis. Nearly all online sports betting sites have Erosa coming in as the slight underdog here.

When Julian Erosa is on his game, he’s one of the best featherweights in the world. A lapse in defense has cost him throughout his career. He’s sharper now and truly seems motivated to make a splash in the UFC.

Nate Landwehr is probably most well-known for being the guy who kept yelling out profanities during his bout against Darren Elkins. He’s a solid striker and showed some good takedown defense in that bout. Will he take the same approach against Erosa?

Prediction: Julian Erosa wins via 1st-round submission

When Julain Erosa returned to the UFC in June of 2020, I wasn’t convinced he’d stay for long. I changed my mind after his win over Sean Woodson. Erosa looked calm and collected and beat a very exciting prospect on that night. I think he lands a hard shot on the feet before getting a submission win over Landwehr in this bout.

Conclusion

Saturday’s fight card is expected to be fantastic. The main event will be a tactical battle and the winner could find themselves just a fight away from a world championship. Make sure to head over to Bovada today to see a full list of odds for all of the matchups taking place. Feel free to check out our full betting breakdown of the main card here, too.

Above are just some of the best underdog bets for UFC Blaydes vs. Lewis. Each of the underdogs fighting tomorrow has an opportunity to shock the world.
