ccording to a statement from assistant general manager Mike Thoma posted on the property’s website the company has been working closely with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, state and local leaders, and public health officials to finalize reopening protocols

“We are very excited about the planned reopening Tropicana Las Vegas on Tuesday, September 1st, at 10:00 a.m. While the amenities our customers have come to know and love may be somewhat limited for the time being, the ability to safely welcome back our team members and guests remains our top priority,” said Thoma.

According to the website, everyone in public areas must wear a mask covering their face and nose. Patrons are allowed to temporarily remove their mask when eating or drinking, or when asked by staff for identification. Those who refuse to comply will be asked to leave the property.

The gaming floor will be limited to 50 percent capacity. There will be no valet services, live music or entertainment, conventions, banquet services, large drawings, tournaments, or special events.

Staff and vendors will be required to wear masks and will undergo temperature screenings before shifts.

Hotel reservations are now available. A room for two adults for Sept. 5, the first Saturday after the resort’s opening, was going for $139 (not including taxes and fees), The Las Vegas Sun reported yesterday.
