What You Will Discover at Tropicana Atlantic City?

what-you-will-discover-at-tropicana-atlantic-city?

Tropicana Atlantic City has been up and running for nearly 40 years, but it can trace its roots back to 1919 when the Ambassador Hotel stood in the area. After which it converted to the Phoenix in 1978 and became a  550-room hotel providing 60,000 square feet of gaming space.

Its owner at the time, Ramada, later bought Tropicana Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in 1979. Two years later, they rebranded the Phoenix into Tropicana Atlantic City, the name under which we know the casino today.

The hotel and casino have since expanded through the years with renovations in 1988, 1989, 1996, and 11 more throughout the 21st century, with further renovations planned between 2021 and 2023. So, things are just getting started at the Trop, and this post covers all of what you will find here.

Ready to head on inside?

Let’s do it.

Tropicana Atlantic City Overview

At Tropicana Atlantic City, you’re looking at your favorite slot machine and table games, poker, and the William Hill Sportsbook.

It also contains over 30 restaurants, which we will break down into the categories of fine, casual, outdoor, and quick. One thing is for sure, you will find more dining options here than perhaps any casino on the East Coast, and it will be hard to get through them all in just one trip.

Besides the food and drink options, you will also find many bars and nightclubs scattered throughout. They’re great places to find epic entertainment after a day of casino gaming and dinner at one of the finer or more casual restaurants.

They also feature a unique array of entertainment options that includes an IMAX Theatre and an escape room. So, if you need more than the traditional method of entertainment, the Trop provides.

And if you’re looking for accommodation for the night, they have several rooms and suites and special offers you don’t want to pass up.

Now that you got a quick overview of the casino, let’s head on inside and really break this venue down from top to bottom.

And if you love high limits, the Trop features a high-limit area, too. Here, you will find the most popular high-limit pulls around to up the ante on your wagers.

Try your luck at the Trop’s table games with classics like blackjack, craps, roulette, and Mini Baccarat. They also feature several poker-style games that include Caribbean Stud, Four-Card Poker, Texas Hold‘em Bonus, Let It Ride, plus the six-card bonus wager on Three-Card Poker and Hold‘em.

Tropicana Atlantic City Food and Drink

Tropicana Atlantic City’s restaurants are the most diverse around, featuring over 30 options, and that doesn’t even include bars, lounges, and nightclubs. You’re getting the total package when you venture to the Trop, and this section will cover each dining and lounge option in the six different categories: fine, casual, quick, outdoor, bars and Lounges, and nightclubs.

Let’s begin with the fine dining options, where you’ll pay a bit more but immerse yourself in the area’s finest cuisine prepared by the most respected chefs.

Your fine dining options include Palm Restaurant, Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar, Golden Dynasty, Olon, and Il Verde. If you spend a five-day getaway at the Trop, why now try each option for dinner? One per day, then when you make a return trip, you will have your favorites.

The casual options make the bulk of this list. They include Chelsea Five Gastropub, Broadway Burger, Carmine’s, Hooters, Perry’s Pizza, PF Chang’s, La Petite Creperie, Gilchrist Restaurant, Okatshe, Noodle Bar, and Fiesta Buffet.

As with the fine options, it will take you a few days to work your way through the venue’s casual dining category. But we’re not done just yet.

Head on outdoors, where you’ll find many restaurants that include Blue Parrot Pool and Deck Bar, Seaside Cafe, and Chelsea Five Gastropub Poolside.

Bar options include Casa Taco and Tequila Bar, Chickie and Pete’s Crab House and Sports Bar, A Dam Good Sports Bar, 10 North Lounge, Firewaters Saloon, Tango’s Lounge, Ri Ra Irish Pub, Broadway Burger Bar, Missile Bar, Whiskey Five Bar, Planet Rose Karaoke Bar, and Wet Willie’s.

And the quick options include Starbucks Coffee Quarter and Marketplace, Premium Ice Cream Parlor, Mrs. Fields, the Corner Market, Zeytinia Gourmet Food and Marketplace, Going Nuts, Green Bar, Marketplace Express, and A Dam Good Deli.

Yes, there are lots of solid options here and as mentioned a few times, you will need to make a few return trips to the Trop to take advantage.

Tropicana Atlantic City Promotions and Events

Tropicana Atlantic City promotions and offers are right up there with the rest of Atlantic City’s casinos. So, click the aforementioned link and discover what’s going on at the Trop before you make your big visit.

But if you’re looking to take full advantage, be sure to join Caesars Rewards for perks and benefits that extend beyond the Trop. In fact, any time you play at Caesars Rewards, the best way to take advantage of such promos is to join, play your favorite games, and earn loyalty points.

If you’re in Atlantic City often, this is one of the best loyalty programs to join considering the number of Caesars-owned or operated properties in the area. And if you’re embarking on a casino tour of the area, it gives you even more reason to join Caesars Rewards to earn points for perks.

The more you play, the more perks and benefits you will earn, and the better they will be. They range from free slots play to hotel and dining discounts, all the way to VIP status and treatment every time you walk into the casino.

It pays to be a member of Caesars Rewards, and that’s a surefire bet you and anyone else at Tropicana Atlantic City can make.

And don’t forget to check the entertainment calendar at Tropicana Atlantic City to discover who is coming to the area when you book your stay. Come discover the finest in music and entertainment when you come to the Trop, and as mentioned earlier, you will find more than just traditional options.

Catch a show at the IMAX Theatre or if you’d like, try out those nearby escape rooms and see if you can’t beat the clock when you play your game. It’s a different thrill that even the most adrenaline-pumping casino games won’t provide, so, be sure to give them a shot.

Conclusion

And that does it for Tropicana Atlantic City. You’re not just looking at a fine casino gaming and vacation experience, but if you’re into a potluck of food choices, the Trop may grace the top of your tour list.

They claim to have the most diverse gaming, and even that may hold true. But you can make a safe wager that no other casino has the same number of dining options.

Since they’re close to most area casinos, why not check them out and see if those claims hold true?

Have you played at Tropicana Atlantic City? If so, tell us about your experience in the comments. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
