WrestleMania 37 Pick – Bad Bunny and Damian Priest (-950)

WrestleMania has a long and famous history of bringing in celebrities from other walks of life. This year’s “Showcase of the Immortals” is no different as the WWE will have a few celebrities appearing on the show.

Of those special appearances by celebrities, only one of them is actually competing in a wrestling match and that’s Bad Bunny. The award-winning artist will team up with Damian Priest to take on The Miz and John Morrison at Night One of WrestleMania 37, which takes place on Saturday, April 10th, from Tampa Bay, Florida.

Will The Miz and Morrison get the ultimate revenge against Priest and his partner or will Bad Bunny and his teammate pickup the victory at the Super Bowl of pro wrestling?

WrestleMania 37 Betting Odds

The following odds are courtesy of BetOnline:

  • Bad Bunny and Damian Priest (-950)
  • The Miz and John Morrison (+500)

As you can see, these odds drastically favor Bad Bunny and Priest. In fact, as of now, they’re tied as the biggest betting favorites for the entire WrestleMania 37 event along with The Fiend who’s taking on Randy Orton.

There’s no value with Bad Bunny and Damian Priest. But are The Miz and Morrison worth a flier?

How Did We Get Here?

Bad Bunny appeared at the 2021 Royal Rumble where he performed his song “Booker T” at the ThunderDome.

The Miz met up with Bunny and tried to recruit him to come train under his guidance. Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way that The Miz had planned as Bad Bunny rejected the idea. Later, at the Royal Rumble, Miz would destroy Bunny’s equipment as he made his entrance to the ring.

An angry Bunny would come out and distract The Miz during the rumble match which allowed Damian Priest to eliminate him. The next night on RAW, Bad Bunny appeared on a segment of Miz TV. The Miz apologized for his actions, but the Bunny didn’t. Instead, he revealed that it was his dream to always be a wrestler. So, The Miz offered to train him again. And like at the Royal Rumble, Bad Bunny rejected The Miz.

Bunny revealed that he was there to support his friend Damian Priest who made his RAW debut and beat The Miz in a match. For the next couple of months, The Miz and Morrison continued to taunt and harass Bad Bunny just about every week. Damian Priest would get more involved and eventually a challenge was laid out by The Miz for a match at Mania against Bad Bunny.

Bunny accepted the challenge and, as of last weekend, this singles match was a go. However, the WWE decided to switch that contest to a tag-team match instead as we saw on the April 5th episode of RAW.

Triple H Supports Bad Bunny

At first, the critics were out in full force as they disliked the idea of Bad Bunny being in a WWE ring. Many of those critics assumed that Bunny didn’t deserve to be in the WWE spotlight. They also fumed over the artist being in a match at WrestleMania.

One major force within the WWE, Triple H, has set the record the straight in regards to Bad Bunny and hopefully put to bed any issues over the award winning artist competing at WM 37:

“But when I say dedicated himself to the idea that he was going to do something with WWE, like picked himself up, rented a house in Orlando and moved to Orlando, and has been at the PC every day. I see people online going, ‘First time he takes a bump in the ring he’ll be done with.’ That was a long time ago. He is tearing it up in the ring every day. When people say, ‘He’s taken up a spot,’ he’s earned my respect and the spot that he has.”

It looks like Triple H dropped the sledgehammer on this issue.

Which Tag-Team Will Win this Match?

There’s no doubt that Bad Bunny and Damian Priest will win. Because of the mainstream attention this match will get, along with the continued elevation of Damian Priest, I can see why the WWE is locked in on having them win the match.

Pick: Bad Bunny & Priest

Odds: -950

$100 Could Win You…$110.53

My biggest gripe is that their victory will come at the expense of The Miz and Morrison. This is one of the most talented teams inside and outside of the ring for all of WWE. In fact, there one of the best teams in all of pro wrestling.

Unfortunately, the WWE continues to just jerk them around and make them glorified jobbers. Case in point, The Miz held the WWE title for a handful of days. Another point, their last tag title reign came nearly two years ago and lasted just 50 days.

It’s a shame that this talented duo isn’t allowed to remain at the top of the singles or tag-team divisions for any length of time.

Okay, enough venting for now. Bet at the top online sportsbooks that offer WrestleMania 37 odds for Bad Bunny and Damian Priest to win the match. Don’t be surprised if Bad Bunny pulls out some great spots.
