WrestleMania 37 Night 1 Betting Odds and Predictions

On Saturday, April 10^th, the Super Bowl of pro wrestling gets underway as the WWE will be live from Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa Bay, Florida, for night one of WrestleMania 37.

This year’s WrestleMania show will be a two night event just like last year’s. However, this year’s event will have live fans where WM 36 was held without any due to the pandemic.

This WrestleMania 37 betting guide will focus only on Night 1 of “The Showcase of the Immortals.” As of now, there are seven matches advertised for the opening night of WM 37 and WWE betting sites have released odds for most of the bouts.

Let’s walk that aisle, step into the ring, shake those ropes like the Ultimate Warrior and swat these WrestleMania 37 betting predictions like Mr. Perfect and a piece of gum.

Tag Team Turmoil Match

The winners of this contest will earn a title shot against the WWE tag team champions on Night 2 of WrestleMania 37.

It’s been 392 days since we’ve last performed in front of fans.

This match was made recently as it puts four women’s teams into the mix and gets eight of the WWE’s female superstars on the show.

Currently, the titles are held by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax who have made the titles more relevant with another solid run as the champs. They have already had feuds with most of the teams in this match.

I can see the WWE going with The Riott Squad or Rose and Brooke. Both deserve a title opportunity and could also be future champs. However, there have been whispers over the last few months that the WWE could put the tag titles on Rose and Brooke sooner than later.

I don’t know if they will win the belts this weekend, but I do see them winning this tag team turmoil match on Saturday so once online betting sites release the odds, take Mandy and Dana.

RAW Tag Team Match

• Bad Bunny & Damian Priest (-850)
• The Miz & John Morrison (+450)

Here’s a rivalry that has been going for a few months now. Leading up to WrestleMania, the rumor was that we would have a singles match between Bad Bunny and The Miz. In fact, as of Easter, that was the case.

However, on this week’s episode of RAW, Miz and Morrison attacked Bad Bunny backstage and laid him out. That led to Damien Priest interjecting himself into the match and making it a tag team contest now.

Whether it was a one-on-one or a tag team bout, this matchup is boring at best. Yes, WrestleMania is a time where the WWE brings in celebrities to appear or compete. Unfortunately, this Bad Bunny angle just hasn’t been interesting to me at all.

One major reason is the fact that the WWE continues to use Miz and Morrison as jobbers and they will keep that trend going this weekend. There’s no way Bunny and Priest lose this match. There’s also no value to picking them either.

Steel Cage Match

• Braun Strowman (-500)
• Shane McMahon (+300)

From Bad to worse, we go from the Bad Bunny tag team match to a steel cage match where nobody thinks Shane McMahon will win.

This feud has been ongoing for a few months now, but it really needs to be put to bed at Mania. It really has done nothing for Strowman who should be contending for the WWE title, not fighting McMahon who only wrestlers once or twice a year.

The cage stipulation was picked by Strowman to keep McMahon’s goons from interfering. It also means that Strowman will destroy Shane McMahon who will give us his annual Mania bump.

There’s no value in this match. Strowman is a large favorite, so expect “The Monster Among Men” to devour McMahon and hopefully move on to a meaningful feud moving forward.

Raw Tag Team Championship Match

• AJ Styles & Omos (-300)

The New Day regained the titles from The Hurt Business last month and are now set to defend them once again at a WrestleMania event. Their opponents will be AJ Styles and Omos.

The challengers immediately demanded a match against The New Day right after they won their titles back.

This match will mark the in-ring debut for Omos on a main show. It will also mark AJ Styles going for his first tag team titles. He’s won every major singles belt in the company and is now looking to add tag titles to his epic resume.

The New Day are sizable underdogs and one of the WWE’s most popular acts. More than likely, they will be transitional champs as the WWE moves the belts off of them and onto Styles and Omos.

It will actually be a breath of fresh air having a new tag team rule the roost on RAW. Styles is one of the best workers in all of wrestling and we all know Vince McMahon’s affinity for giant wrestlers.

I’m surprised that the odds aren’t greater from entertainment betting sites. Take Styles and his bodyguard to win the belts.

SmackDown Singles Match

• Cesaro (-200)
• Seth Rollins (+150)

This is the one match that I’m looking forward to the most. We have two of the WWE’s best workers going head to head in what could be the best match of the entire weekend.

Unlike a couple of the other matches that I was critical of, this match I am very optimistic and excited for. The storyline and build has been simple, yet very effective.

Rollins returned from his hiatus and wanted the SmackDown locker room to follow his vision. Of the many who disagreed with Rollins, Cesaro seemed to be the one who took the biggest offense. At first, he laughed at Rollins, but things really picked up after that.

Rollins would savagely attack Cesaro which was an act of war. A few weeks later, Cesaro got his revenge including putting Seth in the Cesaro Swing.

The next week after Cesaro’s retaliation saw Rollins beat Nakamura in a match and Cesaro beat Murphy in a match. Both Cesaro and Rollins got a victory over a former partner of the other man.

Rollins’ attacks intensified as he tried to put Cesaro out of commission. Yet, that just made things worse for Seth as Cesaro became even more determined to defeat the former “Monday Night Messiah.”

Rollins has been to the mountain top several times including a few signature WrestleMania moments. Cesaro, who is very popular with the fans and his peers, has yet to have that WM moment.

A win this weekend would be his moment and a great opportunity to make the “Swiss Cyborg” a true main event star which he should’ve been for years now.

I’m picking Cesaro, I’m rooting for Cesaro, and I’m hoping he gets the win.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match

• Bianca Belair (-300)

Bianca Belair won the women’s Royal Rumble this year and has been on a collision course with Sasha Banks since then. She’s also been on a collision course with greatness, which should be cemented this weekend.

The two women have been friends and foes over the last few months including teaming up to challenge for the women’s tag titles. Unfortunately, their differences got the better of them and they lost both tag title matches. Things also got heated between the two following that last loss.

This match is all about elevating Belair to become one of the top stars of the women’s roster. Right now, the WWE is desperate for more stars and Bianca definitely fits the bill. She’s immensely talented in the ring and will make a great champ.

It’s a bit surprising that Belair isn’t a larger betting favorite considering that she’s been rumored to win the title at Mania since the begging of the year.

With that said, take Belair to win this match and her -300 odds before they increase.

WWE Championship Match

• Drew McIntyre (-180)

This rivalry started last year when Lashley worked his way up to challenge McIntyre for the title. They had a feud that lasted a few months before McIntyre finally finished off Lashley once and for all. Well, that’s what the WWE wanted us to think.

Fast forward to the Elimination Chamber PPV in February and McIntyre just competed in the chamber match and won. An exhausted champ was then pummeled by Lashley who opened the door for The Miz who cashed in his MITB contract and pinned a beaten McIntyre.

Not long after, Lashley would beat The Miz on RAW last month to capture his first major WWE singles title. Since then, Lashley has been the man on RAW as McIntyre has been chasing after him for a title shot.

Lashley and The Hurt Business continued getting the upper hand on McIntyre until the former champ vanquished Alexander and Benjamin in a handicap match which led to their exit from The Hurt Business.

It’s been a nice run for Lashley as the champ. He certainly deserved the title. Unfortunately, his reign will last about a month as McIntyre will pick up the win on Saturday night.

He’s the main man on RAW and one of WWE’s biggest stars. He will recapture the belt this weekend. The fan in me is hoping that Lesnar shows up and costs Lashley the title, which would set up a match for them at Summer Slam.

I expect McIntyre’s odds to increase as we get closer to the event.
