The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) announced Monday its AGEM Index activity and results for October 2022, which showed an increase of 106.87 points to 846.64, a 14.4% improvement from the prior month. Compared to the same period last year, however, the index was down 231.28 points, or 21.5%. The latest period marked the first month-over-month increase following a two consecutive month skid. UK gaming tax intake has risen in H1 of 2022-23. For the six months to September 30, provisional betting and gaming tax revenue was up by 11% from £1.46 billion ($1.63 billion) to £1.62 billion ($1.81 billion) when paired against the same period the previous year. The Cordish Companies is eyeing Wagner Road and Interstate 95 as the location for its proposed Petersburg, Virginia casino.
