FansUnite Entertainment Inc. announced Wednesday its American Affiliate division is now active in the Louisiana sports betting market, providing its customer acquisition services for licensed online sports betting operators in the state.

Louisiana legalized online sports betting in November 2020, and as of January 28, 2022, the Louisiana Gaming Control Board announced that licensed online operators could start taking wagers. Six sportsbooks – DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars, BetMGM, BetRivers, and Barstool Sportsbook – have confirmed their plans to immediately launch online sports betting in the state.

Chris Grove, CEO of American Affiliate, spoke about this new milestone and said: “Louisiana represents yet another growth opportunity for American Affiliate. Our mission is simple: educate, entertain, and engage sports bettors, and then refer those bettors to the online sportsbook that’s right for them.”

“With our unique playbook, we will focus only on the North American market with a portfolio of brand-driven, tech-driven, omnichannel assets where we believe our strategy will allow us to drive growth in the dynamic and substantial market for online sports betting in Louisiana”, he added.

American Affiliate will also be launching its digital brands for activation in Louisiana’s online sports betting market, including BetPrep.com, Props.com and Wagers.com, with the goal of engaging, educating and entertaining the millions of existing and potential sports bettors in Louisiana.

Jai Maw, President of American Affiliate’s Betting Hero brand, which kicked off its first in-person activations in New Orleans’ bars and casinos late January, commented: “We’re extremely excited to finally introduce Betting Hero to Louisiana. As of January 28th, our best-in-class live activation teams were in sports bars, casinos, and other venues across the state helping Louisianans enjoy their experience betting on mobile. Across the U.S., we’ve introduced hundreds of thousands of new customers to our sportsbook partners so far, and we plan to continue that market-leading streak in Louisiana.”
